guy is pretty much flying around destroying and stealing orb. Killing yaks. … posting this to grab attention of the gms and what not.. pretty much using exploits to win..

Yup, just posting to back this up. the kid killed two pilars of power in the garrison and keep while both had fully intact walls.

can’t get another SS when the person is gone. the guy already killed the pillar of power and took the orb for them.

This post is useless, i can take a screenshot of anyone killing a monster and accuse him of hacking too …

Well i’d believe it should equally be investigated. It should be all that hard for A Net to find him. Go to the server logs and depending on how they built the player controller and the way it talks with the server track the players xyz and through WvWvW in that time frame. Or even better yet find out what he killed in the players log file, from there you can check what he killed and the times in between.

We saw this guy “flying”. Unbelievable, he stole the orb and placed it in the keep in less than one minute.

EDIT: Now Gate of Madness has 3 orbs without fighting for it.

I was there. I can confrim that it was a flying hack. He also had every buff in the game on.

while i wasn’t at the scene to take SS or fraps, I watched on my map as our orb was taken out of our own keep, while still under our control, and carried at a quick pace over the water all the way back to garrison.

on our own borderland, people were saying how our altar at garrison was destroyed even though we didn’t lose control of garrison. with no altar to place the orb we had to move it to the west keep. eventually the same thing happened to the altar there and shortly after i saw the orb leave our west keep, which was also still under our control, shoot across the water, and placed at GoM’s east keep.

Arenanet needs to Reset the WvW Game for Crystal Desert and BAN this guy and anyone who helped him.

I also witnessed him take the orb fly out of the keep, fully buffed and invulnerable, fly over the water and into his keep in less than a minute, we held the keep, no walls were down, and were in the process of taking another keep. After this my entire guild left the WwW pvp , all the fun was taken out.

Crystal Desert wasn’t hacking, gates of madness was the one with the hackers

I also confirm this guy was hacking, it happened at 9:30pm EST when the orb was transferred from the Bay to the Garrison

Also watched our orb get taken from Ascension Bay across the water MUCH fast than anyone can move. Right into Garrison.

It moved from AB to Garrison in a matter of 30 seconds. This was across the water and not the short way.

OP is legit… I was playing too at the time (Gate of Madness borderlands) and the guy simply flied over the keep walls, broke the orb pillar and left the keep flying…

Later at the map chat it was mentioned that the same thing had just happened minutes before at the Crystal Desert Borderlands map…

This is absolutely legit, I was on Gate of Madness Borderland map when this happened. Our group just fought against a thief, near the Southwest gate of the garrison; suddenly she just does the whirlwind attack and fly into the air. I did not take the SS because i was shock of what happen. Hope GM look into this issue and take action against the person/group that hack WvW.

I can also confirm that we were facing hackers from the Gate of Madness server. I was there when one of their players flew into our keep at Ascension Bay and stole the orb. He then flew back to their Garrison at the speed of light.

Check under violations and “How do I report a violation?” and try to report him that way.

You can’t report enemies in WvW, at least I can’t.

This needs alot of attention, way to kill all the fun in WvW…

He’ll probably just get a 3 day ban. Because, ya know, exploiting and ruining the economy is a slap on the wrist, so obviously hacking the game client and ruining the game for 600 people is okay.

If they perma ban users for making gold using exploits I bet perma ban hammer comming for WvW exploiters as well. WvW is the ONLY endgame in GW2. They can’t let them get away with 3 day bans.

I was there in the Crystal Desert Battleground when the Gate of Madness player did it. It was complete bullkitten and Anet needs to get on top of this exploit NOW!

I haven’t seen this flying exploit yet but I did see something weird the other night.
A necromancer with all minions go zooming across my field of vision faster than I’ve ever seen anything move in game before.
So I’d think there’s more than one exploit or hack being used in WvW atm.

They reversed all those permanent bans for gold exploits to just 3 days…

Going forward, upload a video to YouTube. That’s the best evidence you can gather. In fact, with a clear video (and by clear meaning you can read the accused’s name [so you have to get near if you can, or select-target him]), you are making ANet’s live easier.

With just screenshots and the number of people claiming they saw him and they support the OP, etc. They still have to go in-game, wait for the guy to hack, gather their own video evidence, before they can ban him.

By providing a video, it is faster to get the person banned.

Ravensplit got it on stream so that’s evidence there. The problem is that it was in WvW so no one can see the name of the people using the hack. There are also plenty of screenshots of it. Its like you didn’t even read the previous posts…

Riven’s Twitch footage is even better than a YouTube video. I play Crystal Desert WvW almost every night but was busy tonight, I would have liked to witness this.

I wouldn’t worry about the fact that the player’s name is hidden. ArenaNet’s logs should be able to discern players who are using 3rd party memory hacks. No doubt people on Gate of Madness spoke of this person’s name in their chat logs as well. Speed hacks I would think ArenaNet would have automated bans for, by checking if a player is moving between short distances quickly and consistently.

I was in that WvW for a few and left because the fun had been sucked out by the hacking (what’s the point, right?) I hope this ban happens swiftly.

Good catch on that video.

Someone earlier saw what looked like “wall hacks”. Guy kept swimming in and out of a wall that we couldn’t go through ourselves. And I thought I’d seen speed hacks as well, albeit not to that extent.

I’ve also seen the altar destroyed on Ehmry Bay with all walls being up and the enemy never having had a chance to sneak in (I was there since the reset and at no point did an inner door or wall go down).

Hope Arenanet can get a handle on the hacks. Don’t wanna see GW2 go the way of APB.

Once I saw thief that managed to shadowstep on the keep’s wall but didn’t record that as back then I wasn’t aware that should not be possible.

This is a serious issue/exploit/bug/whatever that should be taken care of!

I was in PvE on Tarnished Coast and a ranger was pinging all over the map all around me. I didn’t report it because I’m not familiar with level 80 skills, but looking at that video it looks just like what I was seeing. Basically teleporting across the map.

No response from ArenaNet?

This makes me wonder what kind of not so obvious cheats are already available. A Thief or Mesmer with a cheat that allows them to teleport bigger distances or go stealth for a longer duration will be much harder to notice than someone flying across the map.
