ArenaNet you have shown zero initiative in combating the ******* Bot app plaguing your game. Simply zero. I just watched a thief spam Dodge more than 5+ times, and teleport around the entire zerg over and over out of stealth the entire time.

I can not believe this company has done nothing to stop this behavior in their game. I’m done with this. I have protested this company for two months refusing in purchasing gems (which I always found to be a supportive way to support ArenaNet) on the Store due to their neglecting fixing one of my skills being bugged — and now tonight’s behavior has clearly, 100 percent shown me that they do not give a kitten about the insane amount of hacking that is going on within this game.

- Auto Dodge against Attacks
- Bots are doing the auto Ability counters in WvW
- Teleporting
- Speed hacking
- list goes on and on

I reported the thief, but why? Countless players have swarmed to these forums reporting that players they have reported are still on their servers and are not being dealt with at all — and they have had many players witness with their own eyes the exploitation/hacking/cheating that has gone on for months on end. If these companies cannot control the issues with players cheating and its refusal to fix a bug on my class that has existed since the game has launched, then screw it.

All of my friends have quit long ago due to the lack of issues within this game not being addressed. I make new friends and as time moves on they too eventually quit playing with the same comments over and over: things do not get fixed, people are hacking too much . . . . My recent Fractals group quit because of the agonizing grinding/farming/letdown of Fractal skins, cheating within WvW every night, ect., etc. I’m the last of them now, and I too have had it. If this company can not hire the people needed to heavily monitor this game LIVE and the issues within WvW, then I see no good future for this game.

I’m done. I have had it with ArenaNet’s refusal and understanding knowledge in dealing with these bot injectors that have simply taken over their game.

Those who have chosen to use cheats: you have won the battle, it’s now your game and you can have it.

pretty sure those are not hacking, I main a thief I know all these can be done:
1. Dodge spam: 15 into Acrobatics, use withdraw as #6 and Vigorous Recovery trait, with help of food ( forget its name, doubles your endurance regen) and roll for initiative if you want more fun. You can dodge all the way through entire combat. If you evidently run out of endurance stealth yourself.
2. Stealth spam: with p/d or d/d , CnD (#6 skill) on the enemy , or enemy pets, or enemy clone, or wild animal, or stationary wall, or stationary enemy siege. Not good enough for ya? Here is the d/p build, smoke field #6, heartseeker #2, turn around and heartseeker over smoke again, rinse and repeat, woala, perma stealth.
3. Teleport spam, s/d build, just do 222222222, not enough, you can equip shadowstep in utility too.

Looks like Anet just needs to ban all thieves.

Thieves aside, Anet do a wonderful job taking out hackers. Like weeds they’re always going to crop back up. That just means getting out the weedkill again. It’s a never ending cycle. Ask any gardener!

He has a valid point. I’ve seen teleporting in action and it’s not specific to one profession, just to individual kittens. Catching and banning those individuals is an endless and toothless hunt, what they need to do is render their hack tools non-functional. Those tools are easy to find online, there are whole forums dedicated to them, and if you read them a bit you’ll see that there are rarely any real consequences to using them. The irony is, if you call any of those tools out on these forums, you get an infraction.

This thread will soon be locked down or deleted, mark my words, since as far as ANet is concerned, hacking doesn’t happen. Meanwhile, here, buy some RNG chests from the Gem Store.

Lol, what else classes you caught doing the ‘HACKING’? Mesmer? Guardian? Ele?

They all have teleport skills even double/triple teleport.

I am not saying there are no hacker. But they get cleaned pretty fast.

The food is Bowl of Orrian Truffle and Meat Stew. However, it is worse than getting Vigor (and does not stack with Vigor). Just some food for thought. (Pun intended)

Of course, considering you have to actually hit to get Vigor, in most cases, the food is just as useful.

yesterday evening, i got into a 1 on 1 with an SOR guardian, im not sure but it is my first time to encounter such thing. i am a thief glass cannon by the way, he was just running away from me, back stab, short bow, heart seeker, cnd, everything even the kitchen sink for like 2-3 mins and all was just miss, not even buffs, then later he went invi but there is still a lock on him and the circle was moving then he laughed and vanished. wasnt able to get screenshot because i was totally lost.

Those two videos look like lag. If you know about optimization, then you know that if someone is lagging, clients looking at that player will try to “guess” where they go. This is, in short, saying if they press W, then until you receive the next packet of where they are (which can be slow because of them), then you’ll see them with W held down, even though they might have hit D or A or E or Q. From there, it’s easy to say that the ranger was lagging, as if he truly was lagging, he would have just escaped.

With the thief, it doesn’t seem obvious at all that he was using that “subtle speed/teleport hack” that is in the description. For all we know, with the quality, he could have used Shortbow 5, or Infiltrator’s Strike. Heck he could have even been using Shadow Shot or Infiltrator’s Arrow.

The ranger is most likely hacking.

The thief is legit. The mesmer of 2nd vid is completely inexperienced countering a thief. First off, NEVER fight a thief when there are wild animals spawn point around if you are not one.

I’ve seen someone pull off that blink hacking thingy long time back, he (a ranger) was disengaging and reengaging shooting arrow from everywhere then just blink away faster than RTL. So I know there is indeed such BLINK hack, but I have never seen anyone else done that since then.
For the first vid, you might be right, the ranger is just lagging.

Only thing I’ve encountered is some sort of teleport hacking. Ran into a mesmer who would appear to use his downstate 2 and then I wouldn’t be able to find him until he was back up again. Took me killing him 3 times to realize he was teleporting way out of range (was about 2,000 range away or so) and ressing himself.

This is the only time I’ve ever run into someone legitimately hacking however, and I’m fairly certain he was reported by someone and banned.

If it’s lag, then lag allowed that ranger to teleport the distance of half the BL lake in a couple seconds before that vid was taken on land.

As for the thief, at 4:10 it’d be hard for him to use an infiltrator’s strike or shadow shot while channeling that heal skill he’s using. He started that quick succession of “teleporting” right when the pressure was on and he needed an escape, thus the heal. Outside of the escape when the pressure was off, his connection appeared fine. Funny that.

Ive no doubt Ive been killed by lag. There have been a few instances where I have been killed by 1-2 hits from what I can see and when I check the damage logs its like 1k, 2k, 3k, 1k, 2k,3k damage. Basically I only got the animations and sound effects of getting hit a couple of times but wakitten 7+ times.

Also had a weird experience the other night with a ranger. His pet hit me for over 12k in consecutive hits almost instantly and he actually added me to a party (I died) and asked “wtf just happened”and I said “IDK I just took over 12k damage from your pet”. He said he thinks it was a bug and apologised. Weird stuff like this happens sometimes and usually I think they are bugs or lag. The fact that he questioned the damage output as well kinda perplexes me.

that first vid is not lag, lag wont let you do that. 1. if your lagging your character would just be like standing and walking straight line. he seems to be well focused and doesnt even turns his back on you. even side stepping movements.

Had and Engineer pulling people from the walls and killing them. Okay, that’s fine. Engineers have that odd ranged skill with the Wrench kit to pull people.

Never switched to it. Had Rifle and Flame Thrower. Never swapped to the Wrench, never had that kit out. Did the animation of the pull with the Flamethrower and someone came flying off the wall next to me. Next time it was me getting pulled by the Rifle.

I’m sure there are hackers in the game. No game is without them. But I don’t think it’s as wide spread as the OP thinks.

The first video is a speed hack, not a teleport hack. That’s how they move.

Sunday night I found my first hacker. No staff but constant porting and the most amazing is to port across the cliff.

They are out there….

I remember me and my buddy (both theives) chasing this Necromancer speedhacker across all over the ENTIRE map until we managed to kill him, it was hilarious, so shameless… so much that we forgot to report him lol.
The worst offenders are teleport hacking thieves killing dolyaks. I’ve seen countless of these already, no stealth, no shadow steps, no blinding powders, just a very clear teleport hack, they are incredibly difficult to report, too.
