Old Kaineng/FA

Showed no fear versus any guild, zerg, server, etc. Would take 10v50 and win. Often was seen charging into a zerg with his men/women while the so called zerg busting guilds fled.

A drunken kaineng necromancer who roams displaying the BMS tag prophesied one day 47 may return to crush the meta and all that stand in his path, my king will return.

Somebody has to say it… Kalkz. Love him or hate him, he was popular.

I was going to come on here to mention this dude. He was one of the old Tarnished Coast commanders. A really cool guy, who created a lot of fun on our server. I still remember the naked zerg.

Jamaz [SM] – first commander whose guild I joined. Most skilled tag I ever followed.
Goldiy [GH] – legendary pugmander extraordinaire for what felt like forever.
Noice [FTF] – leader/driver for FTF, another of our “big 3” guilds from the glory days.
Crosius [CoT] – very chatty, often hilarious to listen to on TS even when not following.
Khalamity [Woe] – another calm, skilled commander in the style of Jamaz or Noice.

Honourable mention to Waveofbabies [GH] – the first tag I ever followed as a pug. We died a lot, but laughed even more.

I went back into the old archives and found an epic thread of memories. This is a copy/paste from another TC players, I completely agree with this list:

These are the guilds those folks were in at the time of the forum posting which would have been 2013. Azel, one of the most pleasant commanders I’ve ever run with in the game. Solid, excellent presence and held down a very important time zone on TC.

I only ran with Odinzu a very short time before EP moved servers. Fond memories indeed.

Jadon and NL, always charging deep into battle, wiping enemy groups with style plus a dash of panache on the side. I’ve seen both of them log in recently so there is hope to see their tags again. lol.

Ace was an amazing defensive commander. That AW guild would go out of their way to lock down the entire eastern side of our home map. Their specialty was defense. Fierce fighters and theorycrafters. I missed them horribly when they went to JQ.

Kitt was extremely nasty, ferocious and always willing to put on a positive snarling face while destroying the enemy. I still talk to her on occasion and she’ll log in once in awhile just to say hello.

Sacrx The Machine from Redguard : The guy who got a lot of people interested in WvW on GW2.

Maybe Anet should contact all these legendary commanders and ask them what would bring them back to WvW.

I am from SFR, but if I should vote only for one most unforgettable commander, it would be Troma from enemy server Vizunah Square. What he did with Vizunah ppl in first WvW Season 1 tournament was fantastic. (Vizunah won all rounds in that season, never been 2nd or 3rd so it was an unbeaten WvW Season 1 Champion.)

But you are right. Vizunah performance was incredible back then,though sometimes quite frustrating.

My top commanders:
-Mentacor and Rajnesh from kodash. Especially for their early efforts in teaching randoms the basics of zerg fights.
-from sfr the one that really stuck in my mind is Gabriel Ironfist. Always agressive, always taking the fight and always delivering those sweet loot bags. And I loved his voice.
-KLM was also great. Gotta love random French calls infight.
