Guild Wars 2

Is there a server with quite a few 5man groups running around? I have tried a few and I am still to find one with a guild with a regular 5man.

You have to find more than 1 server tho, you need 3 paired up regularly to capture that same small man action feeling I think you must be looking for. I say it is still too soon for that in GW2 but that it will come and actually Dec & Jan are probably when you will see start to see small scale more often now that the tiers have settled down a bit and the nightly WvW population is starting to wane. I look at this as a good thing.

A lot of tight small scale focused guilds suffer in Guild Wars 2 because it is less about rolls and sync but more about #s trumping all. With no subs, players do other things so solid regular 5 man teams have a lot more difficulty fielding constant numbers. I would say look for a larger guild of players into the same play style and be more flexible with it. I think that is where GW2 can really shine, once we have a lot more of all different kinds of play styles out there mixing it up every nite.

JQ has a very high percentage of small havoc oriented guilds in WvW which is not always the best thing for the score but makes for quite a lively small scale community out there.

Imho, JQ is by far the best to be on if you want to run small man groups or solo gank. I know of about 9 guilds who run daily 5man on JQ. I rarely see 5mans on SBI/SOS. Also you’ll still be in T1 so there is alot of targets.

p.s. BG was fun to fight for me, as they had roamers and alot of small mans as well.

Most servers with decent participation have a lot of smaller groups that roam around. Predictably, I’d tell you to come to Blackgate and join my guild and that you’d love it here, which I am sure you would. However, my guild is rather large so we typically are fighting it out in the trenches less so than roaming.

There are multiple guilds on BG that have dedicated themselves to running a small force and my guild frequently runs a separate “ninja” group itself. We’re a great community and would love to have someone who is clearly a team player as yourself. Feel free to add me in game if you have more questions, I’m on basically every night. IoJ, SoR, and JQ all have small havoc squads as well. Pick the one that you think has the coolest name

I’m on SBI, I run 2-5 mans all the time. I also don’t give a “kitten” if there are 5 man enemies running around. You can ask some of my regular havokeers, I won’t hesitate to run headlong into a 15 man zerg with only 2 people at my back.. and many times I come out of it still alive.

JQ runs havocs? I run around on SB and I’ve never seen any JQ small groups :o.

The enemy of my enemy is still my enemy, but they’re less of an enemy than my other enemy. I’ll give them a shout out.

Ferguson’s Crossing has a lot of those Havoc Squad’s that you desire. Yes, it’s Tier 8, but it has them more than the other servers in the tier.

JQ has a ton of old daoc guilds that run small mans. This is one of the main strengths of JQ, and helps us stay in T1. I personally run one every night for my guild.
