the only benefit i get for spamming revenant tablet is the fact that my team doesnt get wiped i dont get a single bag or scrap of exp if i dont also occasionally tag something with a hammer skill its kind of bullkitten that i can be the most critical member to a team yet get rewarded the least.

yep i agree. Main druid here, if i pop in the avatar (and i do that a lot) i miss all the rewards (bags OR loot from lords) if i can’t deal enough damage, thing that i don’t as druid doesn’t have enough spike.
I agree with the OP: a player directly healed (no regen) get an internal flag that attribute the damage he does with the next attack also to the last person that healed him.
This could be applied to any buff applied rangers spirits for example.

I don’t agree at all. This really goes against how this game was built from the beginning, NO TRINITY!!!! If you want a game like that, go play one.

Supporting your allies will now contribute toward earning rewards for killing enemies and damaging event bosses. The actions listed below now cause a percentage of the target ally’s damage dealt for the next several seconds to also count toward your participation. In addition to that, damaging an enemy’s defiance bar will also grant you some participation toward receiving rewards from that enemy. In order to discourage AFKing with boon-applying auras, you must still be actively attacking targets to receive rewards from them.
Applying boons to an ally (small percentage).
Removing conditions from an ally (small percentage).
Reviving an ally (large percentage).
Healing an ally (percentage scales based on how much healing is given).
There’s fights where I stay in water/earth as staff ele and it doesn’t effect the bag count since even in that mode there’s some offensive skills in water/earth.
And it’s not hard to add damage as a healer; Mix in some crusaders/zealots and fix the dodge key. Even in “heal mode” most builds have someone to do damage, such as druids can use CA 5 and the utility skills still work too. With sigil of draining, CA 3 can be an offensive skill too. There are many, many ways to do damage even with low power. (Think of sources with flat damage)

Goals were to stay above 1000 healing power excluding ascended armor/infusions. HoT stats weren’t exploited either besides the durability runes but that can be replaced with whatever.

Umm the devs fancifully named their trinity “damage, control and support”, with more emphasis on non-heal support… The devs realized this created the “unhealthy zerker meta” and started to provide more roles to the game to move away from it…. HoT introduced 3 roles designed around heal support, and those 3 were Druid, Ventari and Tempest…
You should watch the first 2 minutes and understand the new direction that professions and gameplay are going.

Yea that works too, but since the ice cream one is dirt cheap atm and does the same thing, I like to recommend it. Because you know the moment I put more expensive stuff people will be like omfg p2w but said builds are really cheap and accessible to people with a good amount of heroics.

Squad Participation only gives that: Participation. To get loot you need to tag people in combat to credit the kill regardless if you are nominated for getting participation or not.

actually its good because it has aoe 1200 range skill every 4sec u can do your work from the the midle of back of the group.
ArchonWing summed it up well; I was just about to go digging for that specific balance note.
Try not to tunnel vision solely on applying heals/boons; you need to contribute in the form of damage as well to be applicable for rewards.
Well timed CC skills; utilising life steal food/sigils etc will help.
Never had a problem with loot on my support water ele, seems to get plenty in zerg fights without being out of water almost at all- water 2 is good damage and tags nicely as well as being good control.
Doesn’t get as many as my crazed aoe damage necro, but then only a staff guard would beat it for bags.
i dont normaly have to much problem with loot i get about 1/4 of what are front line gets . that just comes down to tagging everything
