If there are any of us left that do WvW as it is. If the terrible matchmaking, and ANets clear lack of foresight has affected WvW, it probably has affected IoJ the most. Not that many people care about IoJ, we are but a server knocked from the stage of relevance since a year and a half ago, and things only get worse from here on in.

There was a clear mass exodus out of this server, and things got way worse for IoJ since the HoT patch. Most big guilds, along with most skilled players vacated a long time ago.

Just an idea of what we have to go through on a daily basis. We are facing SoR and Kaineng. Kaineng is 17th place, SoR is 20th and we are 21st (matchmaking ftw!). I think everybody on our server just got so utterly demoralized by the steamroll (We have 90k compared to Kaineng’s 350k).

Sometimes we don’t even have a single commander during primetime hours, or even during the whole day, on any of the borderlands. Sometimes I would be the only person there in EB, even during evening hours. I’m pretty everybody just wants this week to finish because it truly is very sad out there, I’m sure people will be back once we get a more favourable matchup. I honestly don’t blame people for not wanting to go out there.

Literally, we haven’t had our "own" keep on EB in like 3 days. To add insult to injury the whole keep is upgraded with siege on every corner of it with their own WP they can always go to, to spawn camp us. Every tower on our corner literally is upgraded too as well as the camps 95% of the time by yours truly Kaineng. And that probably isn’t even the worst part. There are literally fully upgraded guards patrolling everywhere on the map. You can’t even move without being attacked by guards. Trying to get to Pangloss to fight an upgraded camp by yourself while being bombarbed by guards from Veloka and siege is indeed a very tall task. There are no safe zones.

You can’t even get any good fights because a) You are grossly outnumbered, b) you own nothing, not even the clothes on your back to fall back to and c) when you do get a fair fight, all it is is the enemy running back to their 30 guards at their tower and trolling you. To log into EB and realize you have 0 ppt, walk out and all you see is an upgraded everything by the enemy, it makes me want to cry lol.

Well, this post is mainly just a whiny rant and a way to let out all of my frustrations. People may ask, why don’t I just transfer? I mean I could, but I don’t have the funds at the moment and I’ve been on this server since release so I am a bit attached to the server despite all of its shortcomings. But things have never been so bad.

Of course things wouldn’t be nearly as bad if WvW in general wasn’t in the state that it is in right now. It is downright pitiful. I still try to go out there by myself while most would probably have ragequitted (I probably rage quitted a few times though), but even I realize that this is an uphill battle probably not worth fighting and giving the enemy satisfaction for.

I don’t think I’ve seen IoJ this demoralized since the days when Maguuma was beating on us week after week. (Back when we were a tier 3 world. Remember tier 3?) I think yesterday was the first time I’ve seen us with a zero score since those days. I sympathize with your whiny rant and would join you for a round of crying in our beer, if we had any beer or any place to call our own in which to drink it.

Now imagine what it must be like in the tier below you. Bronze tier in general (for EU anyway) can cause massive problems like that if even 10 regular WvW players come to a new server. When the match making throws a curve ball and gives you a server 3 positions higher it can also cause a massive problem as population differences are so drastic.

I understand and sympathise with the OP – but then I’m also on IoJ and have been since launch so I’ve ridden the same roller coaster ride over the past three years. I also freely admit I’ve spent less time in WvW since the new maps than I used to – a lot less, and this week has not been a good time to return.

This is definitely one week where an old fashioned Friday reset would have allowed us a weekend of hope and the fun of a new match up instead of spending Saturday looking at the continued crazy imbalance and wondering why we should bother.

Sad to hear it, I know the feeling, been there plenty of times myself. Don’t know if it will help, but the chances are that you will get rid of us in the next match-up, and either get BP or FC again, no idea how much difference it will make.

Bronze in general is so depopulated that the match can literally be decided by a dedicated 5 man group. If 5 people decide to go and grab PPT outside of prime time, it can really swing the match.

Ah well, been tired of the entire wvw lately myself, so at least I’m innocent of pestering you guys.

I think BP would welcome IOJ again after this nonsense. FC and BP have been getting stomped by SF. Not necessarily due to population differences now, since there’s three guilds quite skilled at zerg busting. It’s the new banner bullkitten.
