This is a call out to our favorite GMs. Michael and Chris probably already know about the BG spy that trolls TC every now and then. He shall remain nameless, lest I get in trouble for shaming him publicly. His alt and main accounts been suspended twice so far, but always comes back after his little vacation. I think it might be time for a perma-ban. Michael, I sent you details in an in-game mail. I tried to get another Anet dev to call your cell to have you log in, but it was probably late your time, so I’m hoping you got the message today. Left you details on exact times and locations.

So to those who aren’t aware, there’s a spy on TC that drains Keep supply before the BG zerg rushes in. He also claims Keeps so that our Commanders can’t +5 and buff defenses. Last nite, he Siege-Capped and supply drained us by building useless siege all over the place. He then proceeded to turn all Catas and Trebs backwards so they couldn’t be used for defense. Due to that, we lost our T3 Keep because we couldn’t build or repair anything. He is, in essence, the most effective troll in all tiers, NA or EU.

Chris, I ask of you to make this person an example, and record your banning of all his accounts. Please let us know when you post the video to Youtube, so that all of TC can bask in the glory of your deed.

I think you should mail to exploits@arenanet.com (or whatever the address is) and wait in line like everyone else for action to (not) be taken.

Anet: if you’re going to make an example of someone, please show you have no favoritism towards T1 by dealing with complaints in the order they are received.

GM Chris already takes care of hackers on lower tiers. It’s not favoritism, but the severity of the acts. The BG spy on TC single-handedly poked holes in a queued BL’s Keep, and allowed his team to rush it. JQ took advantage of the brouhaha, and joined in the chaos. In our case, the same person was already suspended twice, and Anet did that to all his accounts.

The continuous trolling on TC is enough to hit our morale, which in turn affects our gameplay. We just want to compete at a high level and have some fun fights. No one on our server cheats and trolls other servers. We just ask Anet to take care of the rule breakers so we can all fight cleanly. It’s the TC way!

This happens all the time, it’s nothing special at all. Again, I urge Anet to work in the order the complaints are brought up instead of jumping the queue for T1.

Anet has perma banned people for turning karma into gold because Anet themselves kittened up the pricing but when I sent in a 30min compilation of this guy siege trolling 9 months ago all he got was an account suspension and here he is back again. Apparently multiple people reporting someone for botting doesn’t get a GM’s attention and I don’t mean within a few minutes, this kitten will go on for months without any action being taken by Anet.

Look at my very first post on the forums in my account; exact same person, same server, same problem. The very last reply in that post is also by someone from Anet starting another thread to have a discussion about this but that 404s for me.

For kittens sake Anet atleast pretend to care about WvW, you do nothing about siege trolls, majority of the servers are dead in WvW (merge them since servers only matter for WvW now, there is nothing else to lose), the golem event (no idea who this event is supposed to attract) and the new WvW stress test (PR event) where twitch streamers got multiple invites to give away (those twitch streamers don’t even qualify as long time WvW players).

To be honest Cheeze, I sent a message to John Corpening, but he no longer visits the forums, so I don’t think he’ll get my message. I asked Gaile for a favor in passing along a message to John in the office. I can only hope someone gives WvW some attention.

Trolls will be trolls. They’re in every game. But when one breaks the rules so blatantly, and admits to working for BG, it makes us wonder how he can still not be perma-banned at this point. We were promised permanent action last time the troll was suspended, so let’s see if Anet holds up to their end.

Just going to put this here… This was after TC failed to Golem rush JQ’s Garri on Tuesday evening. Full keep supply burned and no help from the Dev’s for JQ. Going to have to change our name to BGQ or something to get anything out of them.

They’ll quickly ban people for anything that will affect their bottom line asap (which I fully understand). WvW is a low priority for them, so to put it mildly they are lax in their enforcement.

On the other hand, regarding the TC wvw siege troll – they do nothing. They could tell him not to claim any keeps with his troll guild or put up any siege or you will be banned.

But they take an excessively legalistic and lenient approach with endless appeals and proof beyond a reasonable doubt without looking at the track record of this individual in question . It is fine not to look at the history of an individual in a criminal trial, but such a high standard is not needed in a video game – especially with such limited GM presence.

Texas executes people with far less evidence.

Asking to ban their IP so their main account is also banned is even more extreme. And besides, according to your post you would have entire guilds banned because we all know T1 has had a managed matchup every week where guilds play for a certain server one week, and a certain server next week. That would constitute entire tier/match manipulation. How about ANET simply works on the gamemode (WvW) like improving it, instead of banning players for using the game mechanics in their favor?

1) T1 does not manipulate matching. I do know that a bunch of BGs have accounts on JQ, but it’s inefficient, since JQ queues all their BLs 24/7.

This is a follow up to the situation on TC. The same person who Anet Devs promised us would be perma-banned is back from his 4th suspension. Troll seige, troll food, and Supply draining with a graveyard of Ballistas and Trebs in our Keep’s courtyard. We’ve also confirmed that this person does the same thing on JQ.

The thing that gets some of us mad isn’t the fact that the same troll bothers us while we’re having good open field fights. The worst part of all this is that we feel Anet just doesn’t care to take our complaints seriously. Sure Anet suspends this guy. But he keeps coming back and does the same stuff over and over until his next suspension. Devs promised he and all his alt accounts would be taken care of the next time it happens, but that was just another temporary suspension. For someone who doesn’t care if he’s banned or not, a suspension is a joke.

People who know me on the forums can attests that I’m the whitest of the knights here. I support Anet because I loved GW1, and I love GW2. But no matter how much I love the sword swinging Colin, I’m having a hard time defending Anet’s attention to WvW. Never did I think I’d see the day that Anet truly made me a sad penguin.

This is disappointing if true given John’s recent video missive. AFAIK no-one has personally treated him badly on this forum so why does he not visit here for feedback?

If they can’t ban 2 hackers that we’ve been reporting/making threads/sending emails after emails with youtube videos on Blacktide for the past 2 months you can be sure that they won’t take take care of one supply troll. + We also have one of those who spies/afks on our siege. We’re freagin tier 9?! Who the hell thinks it’s relevant to do that in T9?! XD

But yeah I hope your problem gets fixed nonetheless and that Anet get’s busy on the banhammer when they come back from vacation (i guess).

Pretty sure they’re under specific orders to ignore the WvW forums and gamemode. After all they can’t take away from the PvE cashcow that we’re ALL into apparently.

Trolls are not what they used to be..some of those trebs could in theory be useful…

lmao, Yeah the devs can say match manipulation is a no-no till we are blue in the face and pass out and guess what? Match manipulation happens in T1 and even during the WvW tournements and Anet done nothing about it todate.

Cerrica thinks it is funny to do this and it is high time that something that is unfair to proper etiquette be dealt with.

Would the following be considered as trolling:

Given WvW servers X and Y and Guild $$$$
On server X we own the garrison on X borderlands.
$$$$ is on server Y but one of their members has an account on server X.
Said member of $$$$ guild has claimed Garrison on server X.
They have held the claim on garrison for two days now.
No one from server X can claim to add buffs.
I think that is trolling. Thoughts?

The only point made in the OP is the troll turning the siege so its not useful…… The dude can only turn one siege at a time. Two people can turn it back faster than he could keep doing it so ‘wrong aimed siege’ is a non starter on losing your keep.

Aside from that, that troll has a crapload of patience to do all that by himself without anyone else realizing it and dropping actual useful siege to cap it out and prevent troll siege.

Your expectations are unrealistic: you can’t believe that a mere three weeks is enough for them to deal with this, especially since this isn’t something that can be solved with a simple press of a button. Give them some time. They are quite busy right now, you know, what with HoT and all.

Besides, they already promised that WvW would be number one topmost priority! after HoT launches. And they’re not the type of devs that go back on promises, right? So what more can you ask for?

Five or six months down the line, when WvW is number one on their agenda, they’ll surely take care of your troll. Just have a little patience.

Real hacker active for months and ANET has done nothing about it. You worry about a troll ill worry about someone flipping keeps/towers fully upgraded in an instant. (With trolls sieging up/defending the stuff he flips.)

At least the OP knows of GMs. We’ve never seen any of those in lower tiers^^
