Help me find the right WvW Profession for me.
I think you could go with an engineer rifle build. It has the reach on its auto attack at the least and that pierces. You could roll with the grenade kit for aoe. You can most definitely get PERMA swiftness by using the tool kit trait for swiftness when equipping a tool kit (The med kit works great for this, not just for being a great heal on top of that :P).
They are also great at running with net shot and the knockdown w/ self knockback.
Just a really fun class.

The 1 problem I have with Engineer is that the grenade skills have a ton of in air time/cast time lag and I find it nearly impossible to hit someone I am fighting/chasing while moving the camera around. But thanks for the reply, I need to see if I can get over that annoyance as they do have a lot of cool abilities.

1. You can maintain perma-swiftness with staff and some other skills. The healing one, and blast finisher on the air combo field.
2. They have a blink teleport to escape, as well as mist form to get you through the last bit of the zerg into the safety of a keep or tower.
3. Staff has 1200 range.
4. Combo fields are awesome for utility, of which the staff has a ton. AoE boons, elemental projectiles, and various shields can all be applied relatively easily.
5. Fire is all about power. A bit of burning mixed in with the staff, but for the most part it’s pure damage.
