Guild Wars 2

As a title suggest, I am looking for a new class to play and mainly for WvW. I am an old player returning, so I have somewhat knowledge about the game. What is a good class to play right now in WvW? I am about to come back and level a new class. I used to play short bow hunter, but they got nerfed, i would say significantly on the ASPD. How is a long bow hunter now? I haven’t played in a very long time so I need some suggestions! I know warrior on rogue is still OP. I would go Warrior if there is only two choice left for WvW. If I can though, I rather play hunter. I like to be range most of the time, but I can adapt myself into playing a new class. If you guys can, please give me some suggestions and a little brief explanation on why they are good in WvW, thanks!

If short bow rangers got nerfed then this one isn’t feeling it

Yea i definitely agree on that, I would just like what people are considering that’s all. As it is I am considering D/D Dagger as they seems fun and hard to master correctly.

If you want to be valuable for your team: mesmer.

• Double golem efficiency against gates with Time Warp.
• Portal roads to move golems instantly across map.
• Portal bombs to trivialize all fights.
• Portal your team past gates/walls by playing hide and seek.
• Portal your team through jumping puzzles.

Play necro, as there aren’t enough of them in wvw right now and if you can figure it out, is actually a fun class to play in wvw (clue: wells, second clue, flesh golem) with a lot of survivability. Just don’t expect to get many badges in group fights, for some reason my necro gets less than any other class except my support guardian. Make sure you get into a group in wvw and stick together, this will increase your drops a lot!

Play Mesmer or elementalist.

This but run a condi necro, you will be able to easily 2v1 people

Play Thief, stealth whole party & ninja flank XD

As a bonus, you can go amok with short bow by cluster bombing rams & golems (lol ‘waste of 1 gold’ lol) while farming badges

I play Ranger, Ele, and some Mesmer and Guardian. My favorite in WvW right now is Elementalist but my all time favorite is definitely Ranger.

Im assuming since you called them “hunters” you played lotro like I did? If you were able to do even marginally well with a hunter in LOTRO then a ranger will be a walking god in comparison.
