Yep, if Anet stopped server transfers before TA broken up, this wouldn’t be happening. But, I’m actually happy all the bandwagonners left. Only honorable players are left.

Yup.. What were the 3 guilds out of the alliance that left before hod started losing? Those 3 guilds were the ones who left due to lack of competition (lots of respect for them). However, the rest of the alliance that have now ditched hod since they are losing, I see them as being part of the bandwagoners aka noob train.

We transfer for the losing server so we get rid of those “Bandwagoneers”, now the losing server is winning and by the time we get to tier 1 those “Bandwagoneers” will be JQ problem and they wont have free transfers to come for our server.
We are coming from the lower tiers (Tier 3 BlackGate) to get them… soon u will see

Blackgate is the top seed in tier 3. Saying they are losers (You did call them “The losing server”) is kinda funny. As far as your plan to ditch the noob train goes. You realize once you reach your destination they will be right back, so are you going to leave BG in 3 weeks too?

HoD today is tier 3 or 4… and has absolutely no biz in tier 1 combat… it’s just like poster said… a Wv2… anything HoD puts up now is condsidered a minor irratants…easily squashed.

Sorry, I just saw your grand announcement of the transfer, so was confused how you could call them a “losing server”. If you ask me, if competition is really your main focus you would now go back to HoD since it’s a ghost town, and say “mission accomplished!” as far as the noob train is concerned. Since now they are JQ’s problem. I know you alone did not make the imbalance of 2 of the top 3 tiers, but you are part of the alliance that did.

I finally saw Henge today in EB after only getting into Borderlands yesterday. In EB, Henge actually has some people, and EB is by far the most interesting and competitive map. The Borderlands are a wipe due to the absence of any third presence.

Henge apparently just doesn’t have players anymore. The match is almost just SBI vs JQ, which is rather imbalanced in JQ’s favor due to now having the much higher server population thanks to the bandwagoners shifting wagons.

I find it amusing calling TA players noobs because they left a trash server.

GW2 goes live: TA makes HoD their home server, they told no one about this, HoD was pretty much dead last in the WvW area.

TA: Puts HoD at the very top every match up is a win, 24 hours, 48 hours, 1 week all match ups are won spin it how you like they took a low server made it first.

Bandwagon players say oh look TA is on HoD its first im going there.

Then people begin to hate and trash everyone on HoD, and call them bad for nightcapping and whatever else people were saying.

TA guilds say well this sucks no fun winning all the time.

TA breaks up, then guilds spend a week or two trying to figure out where they are going if their friends are going there etc etc.

Now TA guilds are noobs because they waited a bit before transferring to see where they wanted to transfer….

Ya haters are going to hate.

We play the game to have fun, we play the game with our fellow guild friends, we play the game for the competition.

You can bash them all you want and say oh they are noobs they just left hod cuz it started to lose.

So say what you will try and tarnish names and belittle people all you want, but in the end. Your words are as fleeting as a summer breeze sweeping through the trees. Means nothing at all.

So if everyone goes to the same server you think that will change? It is quite obvious why you would move to the “winning” server. If you really felt you were carrying your own weight you probably wouldn’t have to goto an established server to do it (that will basically be winning without you going there so what you have to do to win is sit in lions arch).

Our guilds aren’t the ones talking in chat. We go have fun and play with each other its that simple.

HoD is stale, we moved whys it a problem? Stop trying to put a negative reason on it.

And stop being so black and white about everything. We went to a server with a good community, no one cares what you want to think about the server we chose. Why should you care? Why does it even matter? Reality check its a game, you play to have fun.

I’m not on hod, I’m just saying, just saying here. If you were pulling your own weight you wouldn’t goto the number one server as a guild just to be winning every match. No reason to get mad for someone pointing out wanting to get much done for very little effort. The “good communities” that aren’t going to be so strict about things or harsh are going to be the ones you could’ve been helping out (If that’s even possible), therefore this arguement is kinda moot.

Think your misunderstanding. I wasn’t talking about JQ. Many TA players/guilds moved to mid tier servers….

I can only speak for my small guild. 3 of us jumped on lastnight and were outmanned on all 3 borderlands. Usually we don’t care about that as long as we can cap a few things and have some fun. Hopefully contribute to the cause.

Well, we weren’t contributing to the cause because as soon as we capped a camp it would be taken back. With a 15 minute timer for score countdowns, best case scenario would be +5 points but that was rare because with 1 thing blue on the map, people would zerg it. (not complaining… I would do the same thing hehe)

We simply couldn’t keep ahead of the enemy zergs. And there weren’t enough players to form our own zerg. At that point it just seemed silly. Take a camp. Lose the camp. Take another camp. Lose the camp. Timer countdown= 0 points. Start again. Take a camp. Lose the camp. Take another camp. Lose the camp. Timer countdown=0.

We tried some covert missions on towers and keeps with no supply camps. (guild cata) and getting supplies from another map but just because they didn’t know we were blue… didn’t keep them from investigating the cross-hairs :P

Frankly, we don’t even know where exactly all the non-TA people went.
All we know is, they weren’t playing WvW on HoD.
Jokes about them going to JQ abounded, but no proof of that.

The awful invisible patch. Frankly, a good many people probably just plain quit. And yes, HoD having gone undefeated would have suffered from this the most. There was burnout happening to people no doubt. A game-breaking bug like that, will push people over the edge.
Its not coincidence HoD held close over the weekend(its not the first time we were behind on a weekend), got it within 1k during offprime hours, where the invis wasn’t as big of a deal, and then just utterly collapsed the day after that patch hit and the game was nearly unplayable during primetime. Doors aren’t invisible. just players.

TA that stayed on a tentative week found ourselves almost completely alone out there fighting. every map was outmanned, unless we were on it.
We were always clear that TA could not win alone, it was a server effort. Between the patch, and the announcement of TA disbanding, the militia were obviously disheartened. Few showed up to fight. now, did they xfer, or did they just take some time from WvW. dunno. Current score suggest, they still aren’t back, to me.

It would have been nice to rally the militia on HoD. But as far as we could tell, there was no one to actually rally. (obviously a few… but seriously 10-25/map during NA primetime. )

I saw the most people I’ve ever seen in the mists while I was on HoD. Also trading post in LA was packed. bunch of RP cyber fests

I love Wv3, it is quite possibly the most fun mass pvp I ever had. However, in just one week HoD went from a bustling Wv3 crew to none at all since most the diehard Wv3ers have vacated the server.

Still think that if TA was still around as whole, JQ would still be beating us but only by a small margin. It would most likely been one heck of a fun fight. Now it’s a no contest.

Anyways, as said I love Wv3 but having no chance what so ever leaves me with really only 3 options.

1) Stay on HoD and pray it gets better. But this won’t, HoD’s image has been tarnish and no one in their right mind would come here to Wv3. We are now being utterly destroyed in total points so that won’t lure anyone either.
2) Find a new server, leave my guild of 7+ years, and start new. I really don’t want to do that but only reason why I even log in is to play Wv3. PvE in GW2 sucks.
3) Quit the game entirely and play something else.

W/e. Last time I was in WvWvW, JQ owned everything. HoD had no spots in any map and were pushed into our respawn. At this point, there is no point in even trying since we have no supply and more importantly no players. Yea, sitting on those steps inside the invunerably area…being the only HoD there…starring out at a teeming mass of JQ who have a crap load of siege setup for the old killing field kinda makes me not want to even bother no more.

2-8 hour ques to 0 in a week. I am sure JQ is laughing on whole saying I deserve it for sticking it out and hoping. But day by day, that hope has been depleted and now there is none at all.

So now, I will just consider my 3 options while I run around a once good server turned to kitten. Who here would enjoy that? I mean really?

How can you stop disloyal players from moving nor prove that they did? There is no way other than them actually saying it in chat which no one would unless they are trolling.

And don’t be so innocent SBI, you too have gained many new players and some even from HoD.

But whatever, people play this game for fun. I aint havin fun so what now?

HoD player here, been here since day 1 of early access.
So I went on earlier today, saw our homelands was completely green, with a hint of red. (JQ=green, SBI=red, HoD=blue).
So I met a random guy, and together we built a bunch of catapults and destroyed the door and wall of the west tower. We rallied the (tiny) militia and took it back. Next we took the east tower. Some time in the middle, someone placed an A golem and we used that to take back garrison.
I actually like playing on the losing side, it gives you a fun challenge (although empties your pockets).

I logged on for the first night and had some fun. I’ll likely log on a few times before the end of this match, but to be honest, I have to compare my options….

sPvP where I can do well and win / lose matches based on my team’s skill.
WvW where there is no point as we are matched in a tier that we no longer qualify for.

When we drop down into tier 2 I’ll be back in wuv wuv and hoping for some good matches. If it still ends up being a slaughter I’ll offload on sPvP until we are in the right tier.

Henge not even trying? We don’t stand a chance at 2nd so I would say you are spot on. The new alliance forming up and people getting their feet wet under new leadership, in a week or two you’ll see a lot more of henge trying. Just don’t expect it to be in Tier 1.

People who have been on HoD since before TA know that there is a great and helpful – albeit small – community here.

We may not have the numbers any longer for WvW, but I really wish people would stop putting down the people who have chosen to remain on the server. There is still an amazing – and thriving – community here.

The element that gave the server a bad name – specifically the bandwagonners – are all gone. They are not what Henge is about anymore.

As far as not trying in WvW – there are still people trying, but without the numbers and 24/7 support of the other 2 servers, we probably belong in a lower bracket (where we will probably be pretty decent – there is still alot of heart here).
