Henge of denravi, despite its losses in the WvW, is still a thriving server and a community with its own, one with thriving guilds, active pve, and now were regaining our footing in wvw as were now pushing up the ranks slowly but surely. we can do it, but to gain the true potential of what henge players can do, we need your help, but if you dont believe me? how amazing H.o.D is, just ask these other players, one in particular by the name of Talia, who wrote this about H.o.D and made this picture for us =D along with a few quotes from commanders in Henge of Denravi.

Its community consists of students, married couples, parents and grandparents – a healthy showing from all parts of the world, come together under one roof. Its interests lie in all parts of the game, from the very basic level to the most hardcore. Our WvWvW team has gradually strengthened over time, and has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in the tier that we are in.

HoD is a community based server, which means that we value community over all else. Leaving no beginner behind, we provide WvW lessons, PvE mapping runs, as well as Orr temple runs to get you what you need to progress in the game. We even have a historical tours event for those who would like to learn more about the history of locales in GW2, and a weekly role-play group for those interested in the art.

Henge of Denravi has a dedicated WvW community who plays their heart out every week. After 13 weeks of straight losses we’ve really come together and have solidified as a group. Anyone who’s not willing to play through the tough match-ups has long since left us. We’ve also got a server website and mumble with a good solid core of people on them.

As a personal note: HoD has a surprisingly large Canadian contingent. Seriously, I’d say around 25% of the regulars are Canadian, I don’t know why.

This is very true, many of the guilds and people mentioned in this topic, I have met and get along with pretty well, solid group of players and one heck of a community. The more the merrier! Consider hanging out with us in the Henge!

We’ve been enemies for months, but I’ll vouch for ‘em. HoD are some good, classy peeps. If they’re asking for help, go give them a shot. T7 is the best match-up in the game at the moment.

Besides, I need badges for a new pair of pants. :P

Hey Havvik! You missed a Guild! Lonya and Theftwind, Mystic Blades [MB] there are only 2 of us but sincewe are retired we spend alot of time in WvW, methinks too much time at times.

I started out GW2 on HoD. And really did enjoy the community. Things got fairly hectic with the TA alliance success, and our small guild had, coincidentally, left about week before TA broke up, heading for DB [eventually settling on SoS]…. to join some old SWTOR friends. It only brings joy to my heart that you all are having a great time. I often wondered how you all were doing, and congrats on your first win in 13 weeks.

Figured I better throw my voice into this as well. Im the GM for Contemporary Heroes, one of the guilds listed above.

Ive been on Henge of Denravi since the first beta weekend in May 2012. I watched the rollercoaster that was WvW on the server and the subsequent transfers following dips.

The people we have on this server now are the best Ive met in any MMO community. From the beginning, I have never had to search for long periods to form a competent group for any activity in the game – whether it be a dungeon, a fractal, a temple raid, etc.

My absolute favorite thing about the server, though, is watching map chat when someone asks a question – no matter how simple it seems, there is always someone willing to help with an answer. There is none of the typical “google it” or “l2p” garbage you see in less friendly communities. You don’t see that very often, but it is indicative of the people we have and community we have built on this server. I really love it here.

I just wanted to jump in here and add that the WvW crew here are fantastic & have been so incredibly patient and polite about my noobness in this area. It has been (and continues to be) a really healthy learning environment. No one’s made me feel like like an idiot when I do stupid things, and I dig the different training sessions they arrange.
