Guild Wars 2

Our guild is PAXA (ex-daoc 8manners). We run a 5 man almost every night focused primarily on killing players. We are looking for someone to fill our 5th spot as a full support/heal guardian (basically using staff and hammer). We have our full group established already; this is purely to fill a void in the group. This is also more of a hardcore focused group than what GW2 often presents. Currently PAXA sits in Henge of Denravi. We understand Xfering isn’t super easy at the drop of a hat and are willing to help someone vested in the opportunity.

There will be a trial program at first running with our group to see if there is chemistry with our team. Please send me a PM or respond to this post if you are interested in a killing focused group. We run NA week nights from 7 cst to about 11 or 12 cst. Weekends we usually have a few on to muster a team but isn’t focused as much as the weeknights.

I dont know why id ever consider making PAXA stronger but ill give you guys a free bump. Fought against you many times and the closest thing i can compare you guys too is a mini-zerg, show up out of no where and lay down the pain.

To anyone considering their offer I’d go for it, a good group of skilled players.

What group setup do you guys normally run?

We run a warrior, theif, Mesmer, guardian/necro, support guardian. We run the same five guys every night as much as possible.

Not entirely related to the topic, but I watched that vid, and I have to say

That was one of the best videos I’ve seen of guild work, ever. Absolutely spectacular, really. Sowing chaos throughout the army, having such great coordination…

… It almost makes me teary-eyed.

The video is blury, which makes it hard to see what you are fighting. Or even how many there are, because you can’t read anything. Even seperating clones from players is hard. You can’t even see guild names(if there is a guild group on the other side and being able to judge the fight).

But I like your gameplay, but it looks like you are playing on a gamepad, which makes the ground targeted stuff a bit slow compared to mouse. You can’t even look behind you when moving away from enemy without being forced to strafe.

I should go sleep probably:P

I will just say to anyone thinking of join PAXA, you should go back and read old match thread where PAXA used to play to get a better indicator of who you’d be working with.

Having run with PAXA in the past as a guardian, I would recommend them to any serious guardian looking for some skilled small man action. Great group of guys who are always looking for challenging fights.

Our original grp setup was ranger, ele, theif, ele, warrior. We’re more successful in what we run now.

obviously until now we have been running a fulltime full-support guardian. Hammer/Staff for condit removal, boons, and cc. Worked out great for us for sure. Very very solid support to our build.

You can do all that with greatsword, too.

Who were you guys on DAOC? Play classic? If I recall, wasn’t Cancels in your guild?

Nah we ran in Circle of Rage on Mid Merlin, and I ran with CODA for about a year and half.

Hmm it’s not blurry at all change it to hd. It’s not played with a gampad lol. Just cause he uses ground target which a lot of ppl use even in high End tourney play cause u get the exact spot u want.

I like the video. You guys def play similar styles. I really think we should work out facing each other in a tier sometime.

Yeah i would be interested to see how we stack up against a group such as yourself. If tier 6 shakes up sometime soon it may happen.

We picked up 2 new people fairly recently and were still juggling classes. Without much competiton its hard to tell if were going the right direction or not.

How many in OINK? Whats your core amount of guys?

we were 3 for the longest time but found 2 additional guys that really fit us well. We run whoever is on which usually ends up as a 3-4 man. We end up with 5 for an hour or 2 a day.

Sounds very similar. We recently acquired 2 3-mans that are running as a second group in PAXA. Good solid dudes, but we are still focused on our core 5 guys. Also juggling grp makeup and builds.

These PAXA guys might smell funny, but they are pretty solid. A part of me wishes that I was on an opposing server so that I could fight them for the challenge. :p
