1200 kills and 201 as a guardian so far. Some nights I fight for 4-5 hours only to come away with 7 random drop badges. This includes 1v2 kills where 0 badges drop frequently. I don’t stand in the back either I’m always up in the middle of the fight spamming F as a go since it’s hard to even loot the badges at times.

I’m old school and don’t mind a grind, but it sure is difficult as a guardian to get badges. Still working on my first item from WvW vendor and I play every day. Working as intended?

im about in the same boat and i have been using a ranger….about 2100 kills and ive got 291 badges i think…wish they drop rate was a little higher ive been trying to do the jumping puzzles in eternal and the big ole grub on alts just to get more badges…puzzle sometimes gives me about 18 badges and the grub 2-8… try doing that to get a couple more if you have some free time in between killing

I have found the inconsistency of badge drop really weird. One night I will get a dozen badges without even trying, the next not a single one will drop.

I feel the same way. I have about 3,000 kills and have made 800 badges so far. This also includes doing the jumping puzzles every day. With the high cost prices for armor and weapons, it really will take forever to get a full set. Since Anet upped the token rewards from dungeons I think they need to up badge drop rate or lower the prices on gear.

Honor Badge drop rate should definitely increase so that PvP will be main source of Honor Badges not Jumping Puzzles.

Also Honor Badges should drop in our inventory not to ground so that we don’t need to collect bags in the middle of a bloody fight.

I agree on both of those, it’s a bit broken right now. And I’m curious what makes a badge drop and what doesn’t.
