How Does WvW Player Grouping Work?
Is it like, all the servers that are in first place of their first/ second/ third place grouping get grouped up with every other server that’s in first place as well, and same goes for the rest when they do Edge of the Mists?
Yes.
In EotM, all green servers are a team, all blue servers are a team, and all red servers are a team. Still separated between EU and NA of course.
What about the Eternal Battlegrounds? When i join there, and I see allies, will they only be allies from my own server? And when I see enemies, will I only see enemies from those two other servers that are in the same tier bracket of my server at the time as well?
EB works like the borderlands – you’ll only see people from your own server and from the two servers you’re fighting in the current match-up.
Basically, in wvw you can choose between four different maps: EB, the borderland of server 1, the borderland of server 2 and the borderland of server 3. EotM was originally introduced as a map you could join while in queue for “real” wvw but today many play there to level their characters or to farm karma/gold even if there aren’t any queues on any of their maps.
Ok cool. That’s what I was hoping for – only seeing people from the actual servers when doing Eternal Battlegrounds. Thanks for the help guys.
