I had an earlier topic asking how to fight as a zerg and got some good feedback. And though I don’t care about ppt, pvd, pve and all the other tooty fruity stuff in wvw that distracts us from killing each other, I still need to have a complete understanding of what it all does. Because it can either help my zerg or allow us to make the enemy play in to our hands. Because they love the tooty fruity stuff just as much as every other tooty fruity pveing loving…I’ll stop there.

Anyway, I know the basics of supplies, reinforced walls/gates. But how do I tell when a supply camp is upgraded with better npcs or +5…from a distance? What’s a tell tale sign of who commands dredge/hylek/ogre…from a distance? How do the middle objectives in bls work? Where are some tricks and optimal places to drop siege in a keep/tower/supply camp?

What are some things to look out for that a player of moderate playtime may not have noticed with the naked eye? Or even possibly right in front of them.

A supply camp that is not upgraded has x/100 supply. Fully upgraded it will have x/250 supply. You can’t determine if an enemy camp has the +5 buff, but your camps will show a cog like boon in your boon bar.

Mercenaries (dredge, froggies, ogres) will display the color of the allies in their lattice thing on your map. When that lattice is white that camp can be flipped to your side and you’ll have mercenary guards in your nearest supply camp.

The middle objectives? Ruins maybe? If your server owns and holds at least 3 of them at the same time, for 2 minutes all players on your server receive a bonus stats.

Where to drop siege is a long complicated topic because every tower and keep is different.

My posts are facts as I know them, or my own opinion, and do not represent any guild.
