How does Auto-Repair work?
there arent really self repairing walls/doors in WvW. they must be manually repaired. the 10% thing, well essentially when a wall/door breaches, u can close it by repairing it. in order for the wall/door to close off again, the health of the structure must be 10%

Once it hits 50% again, it will auto-repair. That’s with gates atleast.

no, just no, like said before there is no auto-repair.

you can queue up an upgrade but I always puzzle how a large group that just defended a gate/wall can’t take 5 mins to run to a camp get supply run back and repair at least once – they always seem to leave it to one or two players to do
It’s the upgrades he’s referring to.
When “upgrading wall” finishes, all walls will be 100% repaired. Same with “upgrading gate” will “repair” the gate.
Lastly, “Fortify” will repair walls AND gate back to full.
Which is the reason you shouldn’t be wasting supplies into repairing when you see those upgrades about to finish. However, that’s a one-time event, until the tower/keep changes ownership.
Canon and Oil buildsites come up automatically, but need to be build by the player as well.
Other than that, there’s no AUTO-REPAIR.

Actually Im pretty sure reinforcing/fortifying anything will repair both the gates and walls.
Sharks With Lazers [PEW]
i’ll try to pay attention next time
I know – and said – that fortify will repair both. But i’m not sure about reinforcing walls/gates repairing the respective other part…
Strike Force [SF]
reinforced repairs both as well.
Auto-repair at certain hp of a gate/wall doesn’t exist.
There’s only one exception to this rule, the bugged inner water gate @garrison, it somehow doesn’t count to the keep so it doesn’t get repaired by upgrades nor it is upgraded/gives an attack sign to the keep.

I never know if I should run back and forth for supply to repair walls/gates. (/snipped)
This is a complex question. But at its heart is the question of repair and supply usage. I’d agree with the comments from my friend from SBI. I would add the following—
Default behavior: NEVER draw down supply from garrison, keep, or towers… unless specifically instructed to do so by the map commander.
If you are the map commander, well you should know when it is appropriate.
You should always draft supply from camps for repairs and build-outs. While less convenient, it will save your kitten in the long run.
And NEVER, NEVER, NEVER… put repair into a wall or gate that is being actively range trebbed — UNLESS you just want/need to burn supply to keep the enemy from getting it — but again that is a command decision.
If you are ever unsure just ask, “Are we burning <location> supply?”
Never let your supply discipline get sloppy. Drive your server culture with regular, consistent, and repeated messaging to remind the old timers of the boundaries and the newcomers of the expectations.
Some of the nuance in the rest of your question is really better learned from listening or following others (or on the tough days, from the school of hard knocks… from making mistakes).
Yeah. I didn’t want to go into the specifics of when to repair and when not… But teaching people NOT to repair walls that are being trebbed but rather use the supplies to build an army of ballistae and arrow carts behind that wall….
but I see you’re on the same page there anyway

I thought the underwater gates repaired themselves over time?
