Is it just as quick as PvE? Slightly slower? Slightly faster?

I love WvW and I don’t want to leave it to level my Warrior. If I have to leave until level 20 or so, I can take that, but I don’t want to wait till 80! And I don’t want to wait for forever to hit 80!

I recently tried to test this starting from level two on a guardian. I averaged four levels a day with around 1-2 hours of playtime per day during that span. Keep on Mind that was small group camp flipping and roaming. It would ve reasonable to get 8 levels a day especially if you zerg and have a blowout matchup

Nice! That makes me feel better about it. I do camp flipping and tower defense, and I play 2-5 hours a day, so I guess it’d be safe to expect 3+ levels a day. That works for me!

Fair warning I ended up crafting 50 levels but its was fun. If you got one try and run with a dedicated group that doesn’t mind you being a lowbie really helps as can be expected.

If you love it why leave….ever!? The great thing about WvW leveling for me was the fact that I didn’t notice I was leveling. It might be slower than PvE leveling sometimes (if you are losing horribly), but when good fights are happening time will fly by.

Depends on your zergs and your guild groups, not to mention the opposition. IMO roaming its ALOT slower to level in wvw than it is in pve. Many of the hearts you rush through and complete events at the same time.

If you play during a WxP train zerg that keeps retaking towers and going around the map, you can level really fast. Got my alt from 1 to 14 in 2-3 hours this way. I do feel useless on an alt this low though.

As helly said it might be better to craft some first to make things easier. First of all you will be able to get better gear so you are more likely to survive in fights. Second you will be doing a good amount more damage so you will tag things easier, this will greatly increase your leveling.

If you want to level fast, it’s all about flipping objectives in wvw.

If you happen to be on a server that is dominating for the week and the maps are your servers colors for the majority of the duration you will level slow. Same goes for undermanned servers that are getting spanked and don’t have the numbers to flip towers, supply, on a frequent enough basis etc.

Craft stuff or stick to pve

As others have said, it varies greatly.

It can be one of the fastest ways to level, but it can also be one of the slowest.

If you enjoy it though, the speed of leveling may have nothing to do with the idea that it may be the “best” way for one to level their character.

Only one note though, some level ranges are much stronger than others, due to whatever system they have in place to uplevel. Some are INCREDIBLY strong, but others are equally weak. Expect some frustration in some of the level ranges! In the end though, its a bit like having time period where you play better, and other time periods where you are just off your game.

If you enjoy WvW more than anything else in the game, it is unquestionably the best way to level. At that point, speed wont matter too much, and you will be having a blast all the same.
