Q:
How is Eredon Terrace for WvW?
A:
How offensive to two servers. ET and FC are both good servers. To say they “wallow in their own filth” is an absolutely disgusting comment.
ET recently started getting more people, at least last week they fielded a lot of people. Stick with ET for a bit, the last thing they need is for people to jump ship.
The server rankings are mostly defined by size of fight. The lower the tier, the smaller the scale of fights are. So if you like to fight with small scales, stay, if you want to casually stroll with big zergs, go to a mid-tier server. If you’re looking for a more intensive and bigger fight, go to the top tier servers. Just be aware the higher you go, the more chance for a queue, and for server wide skill lag
The best player in the game
“I’m better than all of you!”
The lowest ranked server to my understanding. ET has the same problem FC has where they simply don’t have the coverage to compete while also already being outnumbered the majority of the time.
I would suggest, if you’re planning to play on a moderate server with more balanced teams, avoid Fergusson’s Crossing and Eredon Terrace. These 2 servers have been left to wallow in their own filth by ANet for the past 6 months.

It isn’t anets fault really, but the players.
Also FC and ET are not dead servers. Vabbi is a dead server.

I’m a Ferg. I can asure you I [censored] where I eat and [censored] where I sleep because ANet hasn’t approached the server transfer issue in a logical or productive manner.
I can say this much, as a server ET is fighting—they know how to hit servers that are busy with bigger fish. Like IoJ and DR this week. You guys keep doing all these ninja strikes when we’re thinking your’e licking your wounds in your corner. Frankly, we like it <3

.. wallow in their own filth …
That’s a bit harsh man.
Back to topic: Stick with ET. I’m from FC and have been fighting against ET for many, many months. ET just lack the numbers (as we do) but their skill and commitment toward WvW are top notch and their numbers are slowly but surely on the incline.
Keep in mind that IoJ and DR have a bit of “history” and last time IoJ and DR was matched up with FC, IoJ did everything in their power to deprive DR from points and assist FC in gaining the upper hand. I think DR might be going all out against IoJ and that’s why you maybe don’t see either of them attacking ET too much.
If you really want to stir things up, go take over DR garrison and wait for the retaliation…
Keep the Faith (and stay out of AC fire)
The requirement on “COVERAGE” is what ruined WvW for 60% of the servers in GW2.
You will be outnumbered by both servers.
Takes a mans man to do what ET WvWers do.
ET has some active WvW guilds, look for them and see what sorta stuff they do. If you got an active guild, you won’t ever lack for anything to do in WvW. Basic are pretty good at the small man stuff, for example.
OP, I’m not sure if you’re aware but it costs gems to move servers. Very High = 1800 gems ~ 55 gold. High = 1000 gems, Medium = 500 gems. It sounds like a newer player and probably don’t have much gold at the time. You may need to pay cash to transfer servers.
Try ET WvW for a while. Join a WvW guild and run with them for a while to learn.

Guild Wars 2 is my first MMO, and since I started WvW a bit over a month ago on ET (after running two characters to level 80 + exotic gear in PvE) and I’ve been enjoying it because one player or a small guild can make a big difference on ET. We’ve been getting some transfers that should help us be more competitive. Also note that ET almost never suffers from skill lag or WvW queues which means you can pretty much play whenever you want.
I suggest sticking with ET as long as you are having fun there and, if you aren’t, research the trade offs before you transfer.
I play on FC and have had my clock cleaned more than once by ET. But like us you have to plan more to compensate for low numbers. If it is true the numbers are getting better on ET then stay on ET. Low level tiers have little to no skill lag and no load ques. They can be a lot of fun. But if you are discouraged by being “outmanned” all the time, then move to a mid tier server. Go where you have fun.
But I am not moving. I like the FC bunch. You will probably like the ET crowd too.
I have played on: ET, HOD, IOJ, SOR, JQ, SOS and BG. By far the best PvP action happens on low tier servers like ET. The average skill level of players in low tier is, despite what you might think, a lot higher than high tier servers. If your an avid PvPer than I think you would be better off on a server like ET. If your a casual/karma train/PvEer your better off on a high tier server.
I have almost 1400 hours into the game and most of it has been in WvW on Devonas Rest. Server commitment, part of a solid guild team, planning, communication and coordination between guilds make the time enjoyable. I know the leaders of over 50 guilds and can call on them for help or support their lead. The battle is give and take. There are always new people that need to learn the mechanics and we have small man roaming teams that do an awesome job of influencing the battle. You can make that commitment on ET. Put the time in and become part of the community. Be the guy that knows enough and cares enough to teach the new person. Play hard and earn the trust of your peers. It doesn’t matter that you lose fights, battles or match ups. What makes the difference is the effort as a team. ET does not lack for skill or effort. See you on the battlefield.

Chatted with some ET’rs whilst guesting and envy their W3 situation. Punch well above their weight, have an amazing core group and probably have better tactics than most other servers. Just compare to the EU situation. ET and other lower tier teams can be enticing since you wouldn’t become just another screen name amongst the masses where NPC’s hold more representation and possibly become good friends with the smaller group of players compared to larger servers.
They didn’t seem to care about winning or losing on the scoreboard, but more about having good tactical fights, never giving up, not being pushovers and most importantly, having fun!. Should stick them and you might become a better player overall. Can guest servers for PvE anyway if needed.

From an opponents perspective they are a good server… dont worry to much about “winning” a week and just have fun and they would be a great fit for anyone.
