Guild Wars 2

Just wondering if GoM has a healthy WvW population and if so, what the population is like (how it plays, fights, etc….want to know if it has a good balance of PPT and fights with other guilds, if it blobs too much, if there are any dead times, what the roaming/havoc scene is like, etc).

As of 5 months ago, the vast majority of GoM’s wvw community transferred to T2 Yaks Bend/FA or to t3. Obviously, this could now be outdated information and the situation could have changed. However, GoM wvw was completely dead with maybe 3-4 wvw guilds remaining after RISE/DUI/ASH/Exa as well as a few others, left.

GoM was my original server. It was a blast back then running with Server Police as a pug, the joining Zombieland. Oh the Memories…

Nice to see GoM doing well this week.

I normally just run with Guild of Madness, but we have a pretty big presence and win most of our match ups.

I havent personally faced GoM since last year, but I do have a friend who regularly commands for SoR, we were discussing wvw recently, and she said GoM has since bounced back from their exodus and is pretty blobby with good coverage, at least in t5/6 matchups. Hope that helps.

From what I recall from facing them couple of times last few months.

* Huge NA presence
* Low off-time presence
* Mostly zerg/large groups
* Few roamers and havoc

Might have changed some last month or so since last time I can remember facing them. Hoping someone from the server post and update information.

We actually have more wvw guilds now but the larger ones don’t wanna recognize us lol.

Battling them now and last week. They did REALLY well during the Golem Rush weekend and were able to put up just silly numbers. This week is a bit more balanced in what I’m seeing. From the map I’m seeing active in most parts of the day.

former RISE here, it’s a shame to hear that GOM’s in such a state. I find myself looking at how they’re doing every time i check mos.

From my experience currently playing against GoM during NA prime, they definitely have some active guilds and tags running around. There’s usually a group of ~20-30 running together on EBG but very few roamers if any. Perhaps the other time zones are more barren, but the server doesn’t strike me as a “ghost town”. Hope that helps.

Reports of GoM’s demise have been greatly exaggerated. We had a few guilds leave and that resulted in a few weeks of decline, but we have since stabilized and have just made it back into T5.

I transferred from GoM, they weren’t nice people, at least the people I met. They also didn’t have much of a morning crew when I was there, so I transferred up to a server that had a stronger morning presence, but mixed bag on “nice” people. Seems to be too much guild drama on my new server…

I’ve gone against them quite a bit until quite recently and they have a good sized WvW presence. Big zergs and a good amount of roamers/havoks around. There were always Ppl to duel against. I can’t attest to their inner problems ect, but the Ppl I met in OS and roaming around were cool. They’ve grown quite a bit in recent months. The morning presence was average for the tier then. It seems a lot of the tier 5-6 servers are a lot larger lately. You can tell by how fast a few are climbing ATM.

Back in January we lost a few guilds.. a few stayed. We went back to the top of bronze and NEVER dipped below. We have a great strong Na Prime and have Server Wednesday push where ALL the guilds work togeather. New guilds are forming and GOM is returning. We lack OCX time time which hurts us. This week in fact we came back to silver. The reason why we didn’t do so well was due to Dragon Band having an insane OCX crew compared to GoM. We’re still the king of Bronze though so don’t doubt us. The majorty of the guild fighting and drama is now over as just recently we got a brand new Ts Server which is helpful. When we crashed we lost roughly 4 guilds. Infant one of those guilds came back (DGP). Te other guilds that left actuslly disbanded (Dui) and the other two are unkown.

I’m a ART member on GOM and have never transferred ever.. I command a lot as well.

With all the guilds growing in numbers it’s been aweosme to see.

In eb with blob.. but every day a guild will jump in and fight on there own or in a bl.. so we have guild groups running. For roaming we have plenty.. were always seeing duels and camps being taken and even towers being flipped by then.

GoM is rising once more.. so with that.. the Gommies of Gate of Madness has returned!!
