GoM to SoS about a year ago.

SBI -> JQ -> TC -> DB -> SoS -> the last server I will ever pay to transfer to NSP. Still getting crappy lop sided match ups. While Solo Roaming, still getting chased across the map by blobs of 30 plus and so called groups of roamers of 3 plus. While dealing with useless out manned buff most of the day. I’ve noticed my GW2 activity gone from super active to almost non existent after these current links. Sorry but I have tried and put a good bit of money to try to have fun with GW2’s WvW.

I have came to terms the days of the fight guilds and and fight oriented players are completely gone. So I must once again take that long 3 to 6 month break from GW2 yet again, maybe forever unless ANet makes WvW more fun again for us fight oriented players and guilds as well as the casual steam rolling server stacking zerglings.

Spent 4 years on AG, then links killed my server pride and have lost count how many transfers I have done since, somewhere around 8, thank goodness for gold to gems, because Anet is not getting anything out of me with this broken system.

Zero. Well i was 2 hours in deso once because i wanted to see that RUIN guild.

DH → Kain → TC. I love the tier 2 atmosphere better than tier 1. Tier 1 is the best for zergs not roamers.

**I hardly play Alt 1 anymore except for dailies. Both Alt 1 and alt 2 started off as storage. I only really started playing alt 2 when FC and SF were linked then stopped for 2 months…, None of my accounts are in a wvw guild, if merging doesn’t happen soon, I’ll probably spend 1 more transfer on alt 1 to SF as well…except maybe the first time by accident, I’ve never touched a tactivator that I know of

A few times, more on my alt account but I don’t remember where. Its been a while since I moved either my main or alt. No point anymore, I used to keep one in T1 and the other in T3 or 4 for different fighting styles.

Never. Never will. Don’t believe server transfers should even exist. If you want to play on another a server buy another account (or these days get a free one) and start over.

ET > SoS > BG > ET > BP > Ebay >ET. All of that since launch.

Why transfer when one can create a free account on any open servers?

It costs 1800 gems about $22.50 to transfer to a Very Highly populated account. It might be easier to upgrade the free account when HOT is on sale for $25.

In this way, one can get extra storage space from the extra characters comes with it and jump into WvW using the level 80 booster.

About 6 times but most of them was going to one world and then coming back to FA.

Moved for guilds, moved for fights, moved because T1 sucks. A solid 3/4 of those were paid for which helps.

Transferred, once, reason: wanted to have more people and more WVW focused people to play with.

But I also opened a 2nd account in the days of $10 GW2 which now adays has been almost completely shelved.

once, from JQ (in the beta’s too) to EB just before HoT. Would have stayed on JQ if my friends still played and the original community didn’t go all “recruit everyone” happy, slowly degrading that sense of familiarity it started the game started out with.

Ive never understood the compulsion to bandwagon. If I wanted to karma train I would just go to eotm, last maybe a month and then quit playing the game.

Once during free transfers. There’s no way I’m spending gems – even gems I bought with gold – on the empty promise of wvw being only slightly better than the trash it is in my tier.

Once, 4 years ago, for a friend.. lasted a week.. moved back to original home server.. will NEVER move again by choice.

Started on Kaineng with the good ole days of Ajax Blue and was in BMS guild.

From there in no particular order: FA, YB, Kain, DH, Ebay, AR, BG, SoR, SBI

Second account: AR to SBI.

Out of all the servers old AR was awesome, SBI is currently my favorite though.

Nope, never spent cash to transfer. Always saved up for gold—>gems trade.

Does it count if someone pays your fee to return to your original server as a Christmas present to themselves?

If so then only once WSR → GH then back to WSR in time for linking and everyone I enjoyed playing with to stop logging in because balance fell out the window.

HoD to FC, 3.5 years ago for guild reasons, back when that actually mattered outside WvW.

Never moved the alts and probably never will.

In general, I can’t imagine why I would ever want to change worlds: as long as we have a WvW presence, I can’t imagine why I should pay ANet to help them rebalance populations.

I transferred once from EU to NA.

I was in an international guild and the world we selected during Headstart was empty for US players, as soon as 2 weeks after launch. Although there were other EU worlds with better NA-prime-time populations, the EU contingent was happy on the original choice.

With hindsight available to us, we had an easier time researching options and made a selection based on WvW, prime-time pop, attitude during world boss fights, etc. The entire US/Canada group moved, was extremely happy with our new choice, and those who still play are still on the same world.

I was born on DB, wasn’t there too long, moved to JQ, was there for a good stretch, moved to EU for a couple months where I developed a passion for solo roaming. Moved back to NA, didn’t stay on YB long, moved to FC, stuck around there for quite some time and developed a passion for scouting. Moved to Kain, went back to roaming, moved to CD and GoM, didn’t stay on either for long, settled down on Darkhaven for the longest time. It was my home for a good stretch until a lot of people left. Went on a transfer spree, moving every week or two after that, then settled on Maguuma, which I’ve been on for a few months now.

I move because I’m guildless, I like to experience different communities, to meet new people, to keep WvW exciting for me (since WvW is all I do) and just because I can. I’ve never intentionally bandwagoned, although I did move to SFR during it’s top of T1 days and moved to Maguuma a couple weeks before it’s huge influx of transfers. Most times, I actually moved to losing servers because I find the disadvantages often bring players closer together.

I’ve met a lot of great people in my travels and my followers list is exceeding 300 people. I’ve spent a lot of money and bounced around a bunch but it has been worth it to be a part of the communities that I have been.

All apart from the 1st were guild driven.

Once, 25 months ago, before that I was on SoR for 22 months. I have friends who constantly server hop, and I never got the appeal of that, not my thing. I would rather setup roots and become part of the community.

My, how time flies….

Moved from DB to YB two months after launch because he Axis of Insurrection alliance packed up and moved to SoS without informing my guild at the time. Mapchat changed from mostly english to mostly Korean, so I felt no longer welcome.

Been with FA since day 1 through good and bad. Never been the type to run from a problem or sell out cause somethings to hard or not to my liking. My love for FA my first and only server is unconditional. I wouldn’t even consider a transfer even if we dropped to last spot. I bet anet love it but lol I bet they’re making a killing lol. I view transfers with the same disgust you’ve view a fully geared donor on a private server laying claim to skill by gear from donation….I just have no respect for it. We like all other servers have those who have been their from the start they have my respect the rest even though at FA I just await their leaving again.

My homes over the years…

• Borlis Pass - I was a noob and didn’t know anything about WvW and rangers were shunned back in the day (I remember joining DoC and RP) Drownedshark wherever you are you’re an awesome commander! I was always kicked off rams and rejected in general for not having mastery hehe. What lovely noob times. Good moderate sized fights.
• Fort Aspenwood - Learned quite a lot prior x-ferring here from friends/guildies & being observant, moved to be with a friend/sibling. Started meeting other guilds that were recruiting… long lasting zerg battles pretty fun.
• Eredon Terrace - Rock bottom T8 experiment, thanks to a later established MAD guild for taking me in. Extremely dead tier at the time. Solo cappable’ everything but SMC. “Zergs” of 15 people or less. “Blobs” of maybe 30.. SEA/OCX. It was a very “alone” feeling when guildies weren’t around… shortly after HoT hit.
• Blackgate - Moved here thanks to friends/guild request which I now happily reside with, hooray! Prefer large scale fights. Different matchups/balance is wanted yet I don’t see this happening anytime soon.

Will I move again? Depends on my guild which I think they’re adamant on staying in BG. :P

Moved from Tarnished Coast to Kaineng because Kaineng is a link server and link servers get more variety in friends.

Bought game. Wait 2 weeks for the server my friends were on to open up.

Gave up on it ever opening, joined Yak’s Bend. Next day FA opened and been there for 4 years now.

Only once. Was with the first tourney and Underworld turned out to be bottom silver so 90% of wvw population moved. Kinda was a transfer or quit game situation.

Deso since the beginning. Can’t say the same about many of our “comms” who abandoned us whenever we were outnumbered because they didn’t like losing. They know who I’m talking about.

I’ve paid to transfer twice, but I’ve forgotten how many times I transferred when it was free because my first toon was going for map completion and there was an event that was bugged on my server. Plus I also transferred to a WvW server that was ticking over 500 for WvW map completion.
