Arrow carts, and more arrow carts decimate turtles.

Ballistas destroy turtles as well.

Siege equipment is not hindered by the 5-man aoe limit. Even if it was the case, 3 arrow carts hitting simultaneously does enough burst damage to wipe out a turtle in seconds. Alternating 1 and 3 skill does a wonderful job.

Turtles are not invincible.

Plan ahead and just know that there will be turtles in front of doors , near important siege equipment and sitting in Lord Room rings.

But I don’t wannaaaaa.

Complaining is much easier.

Not a feasible strategy when you meet a turtle outside the confines of attacking or defending an objective.

Theres two options: run and regroup hoping they do push to your keep, or turtle yourself. That’s where I get bored and log off, I do not want to have to use this to survive. I miss the spread out battles where small groups broke off and tried to flank you… That was strategy and tactics.

Turtles even in an organised guild require discipline and dont/cant move fast. As such if you meet them in the open field, simply stay at 1600 yards and skirt around them and head to your target, perhaps leave 3-4 suicidals to harass them for moment.

If you do meet them at an objective, well, you will have siege and when last I poured an arrowcart into a turtle, my biggest problem was being able to see the turtle over the pile of lootbags I was amassing.

We destroy turtles anywhere, in open field with siege. It is our counter and always works.

It isn’t hard to put a ballista in open field… fall back a little (a turtle cannot move fast), and use 30 supply on a ballista. Again, not hard. If your group doesn’t carry that supply then the chances are that your group is too small to fight a group large enough for turtling to be worthwhile anyway.
