So after fighting the same 2 servers for the past month, and them both having an alliance against us bc they can’t beat us 1v1v1, I propose a change in WvW. Why do i need to see which servers I am battling? All this does is give the servers a chance to send spies to other servers and form alliances. Why not just let them be colors, like they are on the map. Sure you will have to name the maps something other than “Server” Battleground, but just use the colors. Blue battleground, green battleground, red battleground. There really is no reason to see the other servers other than bragging rights. But since server rankings are posted, that’s really the only bragging rights you need. I just feel like this would make WvW more dynamic and fun. Our servers WvW is slowly dying because don’t want to fight the same 2 servers for a month when they have an alliance against you. And I don’t want to see our server die as I am very happy with it :/

I don’t quite see how that would change anything considering if you look at the match-up page, you’d just be able to see who else is in your tier based on their current rating.

It’s usually a misconception that 2 servers are making an alliance. It feels like that some of the time, especially when you are attacking a keep, and the other server rolls you, or if you are defending against both servers at the same time.

99% of the time though, it’s not actually happening unless you have really good evidence, like the enemy server blatantly defending a keep that isn’t theirs with both servers standing around eachother and not attacking.

Even then, when you have evidence, such as VS and AS standing next to each other, defending SM, not attacking each other, but attacking players from the third server, or you see the exact same guild names on both of those servers, the two allied servers will just claim it is BS, not happening.

At the end of the day, if two servers decide to work together to try to beat the third server in the matchup, there is nothing that can be done to stop them trying to do it.

You are fighting two servers because…it’s 1v1v1…in other words, it’s 2v1 for all servers involved.

You dont see the other servers fighting? well obviously you wont because your server is not involved in these fights….Im tired of every server claiming to be outmanned or double teamed…You ARE supposed to get double teamed.

Now server alliances might exist it’s not impossible but generally it is not the case unless you have concrete evidence for it. Also if you are completely dominating then it’s justified, sadly it’s usually the second place server that gets double teamed since it’s more beneficial for both sides, while double teaming the server with the lead is only beneficial to second place server.

These 2v1 whines just get on everybody’s nerves…

it’s wvwvw that means you will either get 2 others against u, or you and one of the server attacking another at the same time. Try to run for the tick is what is all about.

For as much as I see (I’m from blacktide) No servers do alliances. I see VS go against Deso and vice-versa, and there are times when they roll on us from different sides, while they still keep fighting at their side of the map against each other. Maybe, just maybe, there is a group of people that really does such thing. But as a scout for our team, I yet to see strong evidence of it.

Oh trust me, I have see outside forums where they discuss the alliance. The alliance is so bad that even while doing WvW puzzles, they won’t kill each other, just GoM. I mean I can’t wait until they move up into a higher bracket and get there poop pushed in backwards bc they won’t have an alliance, but it just sucks that a lot of people who use to WvW a lot have quit because of the alliances. And just take away the bracket posting. Who cares what other servers are in the lead? just list the ranking of the server and not the brackets. Just my 2 cents.

You’re on GoM, well I’m on BP and I observe no alliance. Actually, some of the people here though GoM and AR were teaming against us…

lol…as I said, it’s 1v1v1…technically, all teams are doing a 2v1…people need to stop viewing things only from their perspective.
