I came late to the game and am only now trying for map completion. I’ve been watching my server WvW for the last couple of weeks and have come to find out that I am on one of the bottom tier servers for WvW. Therefore, we always come in last and the maps never change. I’ve managed to get most of the EB, all of my homeland borderland map, and a bit of the other borderland maps.

Anyone have any suggestions as to how I get map completion? Do the maps ever change so that I will have a chance to complete the map?

There is an element of variance from matchup to matchup, eventually you should be rotated amongst all three colors in the course of play.

Do note that matchups are cycled weekly, and there is no guarantee colors change every week.

It may take a little time but you WILL eventually play as all 3 colors.

Another thing you could do is switch servers. Some of the medium servers have decent WvW populations. You can check this website for info: http://mos.millenium.org/matchups .

Don’t be discouraged. I have map completion on two characters. The second one I only needed WvW and a couple of things in PvE. At the time I was playing on Erredon Terrace and got completion whilst I was there. You just have to be persistent. Although one thing I found was it was easier to just play WvW than work towards getting a specific target.

Change a server. Pick well. You don’t have to pick the top ones. Just look at the score and pick the one who is destroying the others 2 servers. And that, you may need to switch back or to another server for a balance and fun wvw gameplay.

Playing a thief could also help for some of the map.
