I need a Viper’s Ascended Insignia, which the GW2 Wiki says can be procured from the Heroics Notary in the Borderlands, or in the Eternal Battleground. I have plenty of the WVW tokens for it, vs shortage of tokens for the Auric Basin vendor.

However, when I go to the vendor, it does not have insignias for sale, of any sort. There is a tab on his listing with nothing on it, however.

What might I be doing wrong, or has the game been changed and the Wiki has not?

Unless you have tons of airship oil/ley line sparks/auric dust/obsidian shards, I wouldn’t suggest using the ascended recipe, because the new stats like vipers require jeweled patches which is pretty annoying— may be better to make a ascended armor with other stats, and then use the forge with an exotic vipers insignia to transmute it to vipers ascended.

Agreed it is better to craft core cheap stats and transmute in mystic forge with exotic Viper insignia.
