As someone who commands regulary i simply give up playing and taging until Anet fixes the GOD kitten LAGG ISSUE!!!

Its simply stupid when you get massive lagg spikes every 2-3 minutes followed by disconnect. If you dont get dc then you have the “joy” to see half or more of your blob dc.

What are you guys at Anet doing? Gives us some god kitten feedback atleast on if youre are atleast trying to resolve the problem or not!!

Last night we had a few 60 vs 80 fights in Blackgate garrison, and still no lag, minor slowdown in fps when the actual clash was occurring but that’s the machine.

What server? Because the only lag related issues I have is when it’s a routing issue with Verizon FiOS.

I only lag during 3 way fights. The lag from that is a nightmare.

He might be talking about EB lag. A guildie just said half his zerg vanished and all came back to ask if anyone else d/c and all said YES. Also friends complaining about the massive lag and random d/c there but the borderlands seems to be fine.

You need to turn your torrent off before playing.

Gunnars hold server. Theres not only lag in WvW but in PVE do, all because of the latest update. Rumour has it that GH isnt the only server.

Sometimes a map gets bugged and one or more sides lag crash within minutes. Usually switching to another map solves the problem though. Oddly when this is occurring it doesn’t happen to everyone just some players.

I can guarantee you that there is no torrents running, no internet connection problems, no buged maps and so on. Fact is that if half or even more of the server gets massive lag spikes regulary right after the last patch, then the problem isnt located in the individual players computer.

This has been going on for days on GH- whole groups of people experiencing lag spikes at exactly the same time, and increasing numbers of people getting kicked out of the game simultaneously. It’s nothing to do with individuals connectivity or kit.

Any other servers getting the same since the patch?

Im on Gunnars and havent seen any sign of this issue in game, in guild or in chat. Thats not me saying it doesnt exist, but it doesnt sound widespread either.

Almost all lag issues reported tend to be ISP related even when ppl swear its not, but the only way to find out is either in the tech forum or submit a ticket to support. If there really is a problem, reporting it directly to the tech team is the only way forward.

When 5-10 people- spread throughout Europe and beyond- all report lag and disconnects at exactly the same time in TS I’m disinclined to think it’s an ISP or local networking problem. Doesn’t seem to hit in the BL but it’s still happening in EB. No idea about PVE maps either.

5-10 people out of 50,000 is still not a valid “it’s the game” concern. But you should post in the tech support forums and they can tell you what to do to see where the slowdown occurs. Whether it’s on the server, in between hops, or locally.

Sounds a lot like an internet service provider or internet routing issue, instead of the game. Esp, if it’s a whole bunch of players at the same time. Let’s say some hacker does a DOS on one of the servers that these players happen to get routed through, or some maintenance guy does a reset, that would likely cause massive lag and loss of connectivity, but that is not ‘due to the game’ but due to a disruption of the route to the game server…

Several people just had pretty bad lag on the Dzagonur borderland. There were some interesting sideeffects that are definitely not caused by routing issues (link to video).

Lag has definitely increased in the last week and a half. So have the number of dc and skill failure. Been a few times that I have been unable to switch my weapon in a fight.

Same on WSR, unplayable lag in EB, 10-20 people gettign disconeccted every 2-3 mins on WSR. I’m guessing it’s the same on Vabbi and UW.

It’s not just in WvW, it’s in spvp and pve aswell.
Been like this couple of day’s now, since the last upadte. Groups of people getting dc’d or wierd random lag-spike of 2-5s at the exact same time.

Been doing spvp with guildies in our own arena and then suddenly 4 people, out of 9 get a lagspike at the exact same time.
Same goes for when we are in WvW or doing dungeons to farm money
