I dream of a WvW without individual rewards, no loot, no event rewards, no xp.

I dream of a WvW where every player is level 80 with the same free gear, just like SPvP.

A WvW where people fight for the honor of their realm and themselves, not for meaningless “progression”.

A WvW where people think about the best way to win the war, not the best way to tag the most red names in the mess of red and green names that covers the entire screen, just to get the most lootbags.

A WvW that is isn’t ruled by 3 megazergs running cricles around each other, flipping the entire map over and over 24/7.

I dream of a WvW without easy revives for and by everyone, a WvW where there’s a reason to fight back when outnumbered, because the enemies you kill won’t just be revived in a matter of seconds.

In my dreams ArenaNet actually wants to create the best game possible, not just give the hopelessly addicted more and more ACHIEVEMENTS and PROGRESSION to keep em running in circles and “capturing” undefended castles forever and ever.

Nah, it was called Guild Wars 1 GvG and it was great.

Honestly, that’s what I took from my two years of Guild Wars GvG. There was 0 progression, nothing gained from any fight (even Balthazar faction had 0 use after you unlocked skills) ‘cept the fight itself. And that’s enough.

People come around telling you that you need progression but you don’t. It’s like when I was shooting hoops with friends in high school at lunch hour. It’s the blast of being there with your friends doin somethin fun, not having to work. That’s what I want from my MMO.

“I’t” was never called GW1 GvG as the scale makes all the difference. It won’t work at the scale WvW is operating.

I love it and what could have been, but you know that’s not what WvW is right now.

progression is good , more skills/stats are good IF the way to obtain them is right.

not a random aoe spam, no PvD, no point for capture but just for kills and assigned on the number of allies/enemies involved in the fight.

horrible dream. i agree with some that it’s a nightmare. what you dreaming for won’t ever happen to wvw. if it did, anet would shutdown wvw. it’ll be boring. it’ll be pointless. it will be time wasted. it will not cater to the mass. it does not cater to casuals. it’s it’s a nightmare!!!

Great dream! Except the part about everyone being level 80 and in the same free gear.

No stupid power creep would be sweet. Seems some like it though so maybe Anet needs to just split off a few servers for this.

The most important aspect of a PvP is a fair playing ground.

Me neither. It’s always been my barrier of entry for other games. The only reason I even considered buying this game in the first place was because it marketed itself as an MMO for people who hate MMOs; with quotes indicating easy to access BiS gear and grinding only for appearance’s sake.

Meh. If only I had known that was going to change, that SPvP would be the only place where that’s true, I might have saved myself some cash.

But most people are so selfish that they dont want to agree with it just because they want everything wxp/loot/gears/power creeps etc

And what about the gears, when i bought this game i was told we wouldnt have to have the best gears to be good, now it is especially with the ascended crap
