I have tried to join WvW many times in the morning, night, afternoon, and evening to no avail. I’ve sat in the que for hours and I haven’t been able to get into a single match in over a week.

I know that the game has only been out for a little over a month and like with any MMO, it’s always a work in progress and ANET has been nothing short of amazing in handling issues IMO but I can’t shake this sense of disappointment of not being able to enjoy WvW.

If you don’t have extremely strong ties to your server (guild/friends) you could consider moving to a different server? It may not sound like the most enjoyable option, but it’ll get you into WvW more consistently.

simple fix, change servers. Devona’s rest and kaineg have little to no Queue for all fields of battle. if you are on a high/full pop server don’t complain of Queue times.

Same for Fort Aspenwood, haven’t had a q in weeks.

The bottom half of the worlds have almost no queue. Move off the top world if you have a problem with queues. Everyone wants to play on those worlds because they win. Meanwhile half a dozen worlds lose every time just because they don’t have enough people to fill up EB let alone borderlands are virtually empty.

how do the top half all win? the top three play against each other so only 1 in 3 wins…

this argument confuses me…

I know it is painful, but it is evident that the queue is working as intended.

Currently, there are no other real incentives to transfer from a winning to a losing server other than the queue.

If there were some mechanic that better encouraged population spreading, then i would understand them doing something about queue times. As it stands, however, working to reduce queue times on packed servers would only serve to make bandwagoning and lopsided battles more prevalent. It would be counterproductive.

They need to begin charging gems for transfers to winning servers while keeping transfers free to servers with losing records. It wont completely fix the issue (which is driven by human nature more than anything in game), but it would help.

To your personal quandry, the solution is obvious – encourage your guild to move a server where queue times are shorter.

Unfortunately transferring servers seems to be the only option for me if I want to do WvW. I picked the server I’m on in an attempt to avoid the high pop/big guild servers but unfortunately it turned out to be just that with people transferring to it for wins.

I didn’t want to play on a server because of wins, I was on it the minute it went live so I simply got unlucky.
