Well he could have been more polite but I know exactly where he is coming from as the stupid things always spawn directly on yak paths! They do not help anyone that is WvW eccentric to gain achievements, they do not drop anything useful in any significant amount and to be blunt they are just an irritant that nobody in WvW asked for. The prevailing sentiment on my server is not allowed to be posted here.
Well anet knows ppl dont like pve in wvw, I’m sure you can find some quotes by devon somewhere confirming this. And if i’m not mistaken he even said they wouldn’t put pve (or not as much) into wvw, but…

my guess is that they want to lure more pve-ers into wvw, by adding pve. But pveers already said they don’t care about wvw, even if there is more pve in there.

If I was feeling industrious enough I could dredge up threads asking for an avenue to work on parts of the living story meta without leaving wvw.

i wouldnt mind the pve if the peve doesent affect the dolyaks. its already hard enough to upgrade with all the thoeves arround in wvw so yeah the pve mobs should not affect the dolys

I like some event things being added into WvW. Some things can/could be added without inhibiting the WvW gameplay. This is a great example of one that shouldn’t have been put in because it does exactly that.

:P It’s annoying when they affect wvw elements, but the centaurs and skritt can ave their events.
Any idea when this stuff will be removed, i hardly play EB and want to finish the merc camps achievement but cant be bothered with it atm as the toxic mobs are disrupting my progress,
Also, what are living story mobs doing in WvWvW, this doesnt seems to be a hard question to answer or is it, Anet. Bet the majority of the wvw players like to know the idea behind this.

I don’t mind replacing existing creatures Living Story enemies (ie replace the Minotaurs with Toxics) but this addition doesn’t fit either the Living Story or the WvW framework.
There is no reason to go after centaurs and skritt in the borderlands; and the merc camps in EBG are high traffic attack routes, it’s just a frustration to have it there.
it wouldn’t be an issue if they were off to the side somewhere so if people WANT to go fight them, they can go off and fight them, like the centaurs and skrit. But these things pop up right in the middle of merc camps and on sentries so they’re just annoying and disruptive. It’s not the least bit fun having them there. You’re kind of forced to deal with them if you want to flip merc camps or sentries. And they’re beyond annoying with all the poison spam and weird acid trip stuff going on. Regular krait in the hylek camps are irritating enough. These are 10 times worse. I’d rather not be near them at all if I could help it. I attempted to do the thing in PvE with them, and they’re just fracking annoying. I left after a few minutes. Now i’m forced to deal with that crap in wvw as well.
What’s funny is when the toxic dudes take out dolyaks. No, seriously. It makes people have to get out and clear their supply routes, something I think is a little underdone right now.
I saw one of the toxic krait dudes standing there, suddenly it charged off just to shoot down an eagle that came in range. I guess they have dailies too.
