I want MORE siege weapons in HoT
Maybe some kind of huge treb that would shoot huge rock other side of map and it would one hit everybody no matter what. Little bit like world of tanks artillery.

Would like more mobile sieges. How about a siege that is mobile but good at fighting zergs, but poor at fighting doors and walls and 1v1 fights. Kind of like the opposite of Golems
That would be pretty awesome. You could use it as a dynamic balancing piece too, like the way Siegebreaker was intended to be.
If a world is grossly outnumbered in the open field for more than a certain length of time, spawn an opportunity to build what essentially amounts to the car from Army of Darkness, climb 5 people aboard and do a little lawnmowing.
I’ll pass on the mobile siege. The maps aren’t even big enough for the different types of WvWvW players as it is. Some people prefer open world(as close to it as GW2 is going to get) small scale fights rather than playing the command and conquer siege aspect and there is already an eye rolling abundance of treb shots, cannons and mortars being aimed at like seven people fighting.
Plus if this mechanic depends on being outnumbered then it can easily be gamed.
A manllet would work. High life, let’s you and allies shoot out, but enemies can’t shoot in. About double width and single height of a norn. 20 supplies
Also barbed wire, which would damage enemies that pass though with cripple and pulsing immobilization(if high quality) with major bleed and poison (and torment if high quality). Can’t be damaged by ranged with a very low width of range, but invisible till triggered.Depending on length x# of supplies(but quite a bit coastly)
Let us build those giant Charr tanks. Best anti-zerg weapon. Or a Pact airship.

I’d love to see a Charr tank in WvW. Mobile anti-infantry siege would be a good addition. Could move faster than siege golems, since players are normally faster than towers and keeps.
Charr tanks :
- Mobile
- 300 supplies to build
- only one can be built to each side
- cooldown 15 mins if destroyed
- piloted by 5 people (Driver + 4 gunners)
- strong vs players
- weak vs structures/siege
- can not enter keeps or towers
They need to put in Guild golems.. since everyone keeps calling them that anyhow. XD
I agree that wvw needs more toys to play with, just make sure you can trade them this time.. it is lame you cannot send disablers. No point in even having non tradables in game.

I’ve always thought that ballista was a little un needed, so if we add all (reasonable) these siege weapons , the ballista will become a powerful defensive and offensive weapon again.
Ballista is good. Far better than most wvwers take it for. Specially Sup Ballista. Killer.

I am not sure if more siege is a good ideal we kind of fill all the rolls with what we have. Your never getting a get over the wall for free type siege nor will you ever get a more then one person wepon.
We could use say the super canon from EoTM in stander BL kind of a center objective like quaggans use to be. Maybe some type of underground port would be the scrip and rode speed boots from the centaurs (not sure what else you could get other then a glass objective that can hit any thing on the map and means of speeding ppl movement though the map).

One of the more experimental raid fights during WotLK was fought entirely with steampunky siege vehicles (including motorcycles… with sidecars- ok, so WoW wasn’t all bad…) except for a few folks that got to ride around in catapults and periodically get flung up onto the boss.
But I digress. I agree that it’d pretty much make no sense at all in WvW- those sorts of shenanigans probably can only really work in PvE content, and even then only in highly organized PvE content.
I’d like it if the new map got something like EotM’s supercannon, but one that can be fired in any direction. To balance it, ammo for the cannon would probably need to be hard to acquire, requiring an escort of a special dolyak from a nearby lab or two.
There should definitely be some sort of expensive deployable siege machine that is “mounted” like siege golems and can be switch between a mobile form and a form to attack.
With no points on its mastery skill:
- Can switch between siege and mobile forms only if not in combat. This takes a long time. 10s at least.
- Like golems, immune to boons and do not regenerate while out of combat.
- When in mobile form:
- Can move at about -10% player speed.
- Cannot attack.
- Has double armor.
- Has two defensive skills:
- A defensive bubble that blocks attacks on itself for a short time.
- A long recharge rush skill that makes it run as fast as a player under swiftness for 20 seconds.
- When in siege form
- Cannot move.
- Only has 3 skills, 2 to aim, one to attack. Does not have alternate ammo skills.
- Can attack with a range slightly shorter than catapults.
- Hits walls and doors with the same strength, slightly weaker than catapults on walls.
- Masteries:
- Rush skill recharges in half the time.
- Improved stats (+toughness, +vitality). Can switch forms while attacked.
- Bubble skill pushes enemies away and reflects projectiles for a short time.
- Improved stats (+power, +precision). Switching forms takes half the time.
- Defensive skills become usable in siege form but with double recharges and half durations.
- Can move while deployed, but at 66% decreased player speed (same as when chilled).
- Attack skill becomes usable in mobile form but with 1/4 power and range. Aiming depends on the direction the player is facing instead having skills to aim like in siege form.

i would honestly prefer each profession gained one skill for each siege that was related to their profession. for example ele on treb make a ground target meteor skill mesmer on AC how about confusion? warrior on ram why not aoe stability? guardian on ballista? arrows path creates a light field engineer on cata? how about supply drop where the cata hits the possibilities are endless and incredibly dynamic.

We need less siege, not more. There is already way too many people refusing to make use of great combat system, that GW2 has, turtling inside structures with siege weapons instead of coming out to fight.

Environmental weapons from PvE would be fun to have again in WvW, but I’m sure it won’t happen because they’re a headache to balance against. Devs are going to have a load of work balancing all the new skills that HoT is going to bring.

I’m for more siege too. The Scorps from the Silverwaste would be fun. If nothing else at least give us additional skins for the siege we have now. Anything to liven up the scene.

I want more usefull siege in HoT. What good is all that siege when a few ele’s can just destroy them in seconds.
