Guild Wars 2

So I’m a total noob, Ill admit. I have no idea what to do in WvW. I have an Elementalist who is only like lvl 15 (been addicted to pvp). I don’t understand anything in WvW. Is there like a video guide. Like I dont know anything about the squad functions, I don’t know any tactics, I waste time looking for something to do, ankittenep dying and having to respawn miles away.

Yes, there are alot of resources. Namely guilds on your server. To give you the coles notes to get you going:

Your server will be either red/green/blue. You can check this by clicking your B button. You probably already know this.

There are 4 maps, a home borderland for each server, and a central enternal battleground.

On the maps, you will see various icons. You can scroll over them to see what they are. Keeps/Supply Camps/Power nodes/Veteran Scouts .. and on eternal battlegrounds StoneMist Castle.

There is a timer at the top of your screen – when that reaches 0 your world accumulates points based on what you own (is your color).

Other enemies will appear there world colors.

That is a start, but i have to head home now … maybe I can add more later. Objective is to capture places, but watch out … some things AI and players hit like trucks. Try to ask your world for help.

It may help if you add your world, so others who read this can also offer assistance.

Aurum, I think the best way to learn is to play in WvW. It’s pretty self explanatory.

Build seige to take objectives, take supply camps to get supplies to towers, keeps, and castle. Resupply at supply camps so you can build more seige. Defend your bases from enemy attacks, call out in /team chat enemy locations, number of enemies, and if they drop seige on the spot your defending or not.

It’s all pretty simple you just need to get out there and experience it! Also if your looking to xfer to another server come on over to Darkhaven. I’d be happy to show you around WvW in a couple days.

I’ve been writing a WvW for dummies guide thats pretty comprehensive. The problem is there is A L O T to write about when it comes down to it. I will likely have the majority of the first draft ready for view in about a week. I am turning it into a pdf so I can spruce it up with some graphics and what not.
