It’s been 4 weeks in a row that we have faced DB, a server that vastly outnumbers us in both players, large guilds and coverage.They have attracted several guilds to their server in the last few months, including several from SBI.

The matches aren’t fun, being out-numbered in prime time is not very good for server moral nor is getting annihilated four weeks in a row vs. a server with more players, better coverage, and larger guilds.

Kudos to DB for rising in the ranks, but this game is awful when the matches are not balanced and a rank 11 server is forced to play a rank 7 server for an entire month.

Well as long as your server doesn’t break before the bad match up you’ll be able to have fun again my server is ranked 21 against rank 16 and a lot of the new DB guild/players came form my server fun and wvw are going to hard to come by for me. So it could be worse.

Problem is that there are currently four T4 servers, one T3 server, and one T2.5 server. One of the T4 servers will be stuck in the T3 matchup (looking like it’ll be NSP this reset), and T3 will always be unbalanced by DB. In my opinion, IoJ is in the worst position because it’s the only T3 server, meaning it’ll always be in the T3 matchup with the T2.5 DB.

I’m not sure we’re in the worst spot at IoJ actually. The past few weeks playing against the servers in this range has been a blast – lots of good fights every night. We may not be winning them all (and certainly got rekt this week by DB), but it really has been fun.

Agreed… DB’s coverage for OCX is huuuuuuuuuuge but it also means there are actually enemies during my play hours

You may not like FA’s NA Prime if you thought DB was tough going. Those guys not only come out in force but they are full of very skilled GvG, havoc and roamers. Most of their pugs are hardened from months of skill group play. Good fights, but some of their gank squads they have can drive opposing players batty.

Unfortunately, there’s no way t3 can be balanced as we are back with the sitiation where no other t3-4 server can compete with DB/FA atm. SBI has been barely t4 atm and probably less with LS updates, usually only showing in numbers on reset night, and we didn’t even have a queue on Friday only an hour after reset. [Guess it was a good thing, since I crashed.]

In the past it was merely a coverage issue, so there were still fights at peak hours, but this isn’t the case. DB is quite populated and I wish them well in t2.

Problem is 4 t2ish servers means t3 will be non competitive no matter what…..

Thankfully it’s the 9th and 8th placed servers now making it abundantly clear that there is a colossal population gap between them and 7th.
