Absolutely not. It would give advantages to winning servers, there for people would switch to winning servers, It’s dirty but people would do it. At the moment there isn’t incentive for servers to win and that is for the best currently.
That’s true too didn’t fully think of that, though with paid transfers wouldn’t be as bad. but I agree can still see a lot of people transferring

One of the hooks the GW2 team liked to toss around before launch was that the game was designed to be played how you liked to play it.
Ergo rewarding WvW players with laurels when some players plain don’t like to WvW would be grossly unfair.
Well if were Talking about “fair” than many points could be brought about about difficulty for WvWers to get legendarys/ascended, poor loot for most WvWers, lack of attention from Anet compared to PVE and even sPVP…and they already said their making a reward/ranking system in WvW

Can’t deny any of what you have said above.
But two wrongs do not make a right, and the way that laurels are currently handed out WvWers are able to get hold of them just as easily as a PvEer.
True for daily yes, but monthly requires PVE almost all the time with either dungeon or JPs, but yes it is nice at least we can get some laurels in WvW through Dailys…maybe instead of 1st place make a WVW daily or monthly?

It goes both ways though. Not sure how the monthlies will pan out since the changes, but certainly in the past the monthlies have often involved getting X amount of WvW kills.
Betting the hardcore PvErs hate that just as much as the WvWers do the dungeon running achievements.
As I said above Anvil Pants, two wrongs don’t make a right so I don’t see how adding more unfair rewards would resolve the issue.

In a game, when I don’t want to do a task that is necessary to accomplish one of the game’s objectives or achievements, you know what I do?
I don’t do the task, and I don’t care about the achievement.

I do agree with adding more incentives for a team to win in WvW, I just don’t know if rewarding laurels for 5-10 hours of WvW play is the way to go.
I believe that Badges of Honor are already the WvW reward currency.

Rewarding for winning or punishing for losing though? Would be completely different if there was fair fights 24/7 – but this is not the case.
Buying with badges should’ve been the way to go
