+1, very much agree with this. Getting a stack is hard enough, having more range would make it less a “stack” than a “get close/in range for supply count”. I’m not a stacker, I think it’s annoying getting right on your comm for such a menial task. Please fix

i’ll just give an example of how it would be if the radius would be like 1000+:

  • zerg standing at spawn
  • commander says “stack, supplycheck”
  • 20 people stack, 5 people stand around
  • commander gets supplyinfo of the 20 stacking people + 5 people standing around
  • /supplyinfo tells him zerg has 100 mats
  • goes to attack wall/door, counts with having 100 mats, though he only has 50, cause he didnt see that those people which didnt stack were AFK and had 10 supplies each.
  • attack fails.

even now any guildraid trie not to stack on top of randoms to be sure of how many supplies they have.

But… That is just one example out of many situations.

There are more situations in which a larger radius is more usefull than a smaller one.

By the way, it doesn’t have to be 1000+, and even if it is. Just don’t supplycheck right at the waypoint. But instead walk 1000 away and do the supplycheck.

Now I’ll give you an example of why a larger radius is preferred:

  • Players are ramming a door, some players are killing a foe. One is firing a catapult and one is AC’ing. Players are scattered in a 1000 radius, and you want to check your sups.
  • You will get the names in the list so you can still filter out people who are not following.
  • A guild is more organised and I personally never use supcheck on my guildies. Just because I know our numbers x 10 = our supply. So less organised groups especially need a bigger supply check radius. Even if you need to supply check just your guildies, its not at the waypoint usually. But before attacking a keep. In that case people are following you and thus count towards the check. And its your job to instruct or pass the players that are unaware of what they are doing at your position.

And ALSO it would b e nice to have less Chat suppression, you don’t realize how frustrating it is to be suppressed for as little as you can imagine.

I think we need the priority level on the C&S system to be moved UP the que. Anet has gotten our constructive feedback and knows what players would like. I understand it takes time to completely rebuild a new system, but a few tweaks to the existing system go a long way alleviating player frustration.

Players and guilds are FRUSTRATED with the grouping systems… and have been since release.

Also add more squad options or allow them to be repetive use for example having 2 or more Squad Attack locations so you can tell you zerg you want to attack this tower then this tower then this tower…

GW2 has done a lot of things right…. but the grouping systems are so sad and frustrating. This should be on the TOP of priority que for WvW.

quick idea to avoid counting AFKers supply: make a command like /ready which broadcasts a popup alert to everyone in the radius (or /squadready for everyone in a squad). When the player clicks “ready” on the popup it adds their supply to the total count, and obviously lets the commander know they are ready and not afk.

Sometimes I stack, but then I don’t use my supplies to spite the commander. Sometimes I don’t stack because I’m fighting something or harvesting, but I do use my supplies when siege is placed. Statement is false, try again.
