I just got done catching screen shots of an IOJ invader in the Darkhaven Borderland spawn point.

I understood that it was NOT possible to get past the legendary defenders, or through the gates. Spawn areas are SUPPOSED to be the safe spot on the map.

Yet here’s an invader in our spawn.

Someone explain this to me?

Why do people keep posting this like its a problem?

He cant kill any player in your spawn. Yet you can all kill him.

And it is entirely possible to get past the legendary defenders at the gates.

Disgraceful, come on anet, just remove PvE titles from WvW already.

its possible to get into enemy spawns using some teleport bugs and leap skill bugs.

All you have to do is stealth past the defenders. Not hard. Not a hack. Not an exploit. Not a bug. Just using game mechanics as intended.

Exactly What Catisa said. I don’t see the problem with this you are invincible when in spawn so just kill him. All the invader can do is try to kill your npcs… and they respawn.

I’m actually sad when everyone tries to kill these people. They are just there for fun, just to prove that they can get there. I had a dance and fireworks party going on with one before some tryhards came in, guns blazing, and ruined it :\

Can they kill your siege? Like, if you port golems back there and they are unmanned, do they then become vulnerable to being attacked? That’s the only problem I see.

yes, but you should park them near the legendary defenders, then you don’t have to worry about it.

this mechanic can be used to spy on the enemy, see how many golems they got :P

and I once accidentally used a leap skill to get into enemy spawn on one of the borderlands (one of the side exits) which IS a bug

We’re just there to mess around with you and drop fireworks so we can party together and we build flame rams in your Black Lion trading merchant and worship the Great Lord Flame Ram. Seems people are neglecting to realise this player could be comming the servers movements to their own server or at least a player or guild within it.

And that makes a difference from anywhere else in the map how? The only thing you can stockpile at spawn is golems, and if placed properly, they can’t do anything about it.

And if are you about to golem rush, there are plenty of people there, that are easy enough to see in the non-buggy area near the spawn. It’s a non-issue.

so kill them then, you are invincible in your own spawn, they are not.

I’ve managed to do this and seen people from other servers do this to us. Since the invader can’t kill you it’s almost implied that they’re only there to have fun and toss a couple of fireworks around. We just gather around and /dance, which adds fun to the game since we’re always fighting on the battlefield. It’s nice to just mess around for a bit like this with other servers.

You misunderstood then. Since launch you have been able to get into the other server’s spawn.

Again, you’re wrong. You can even get through gates and have been able to since launch.

You are safe, you have an invulnerability buff. They cannot hurt you.

It’s a simple matter of knowing stealth, terrain, and hit boxes. Legendary guards cannot see players in stealth. The player uses that to pass the guards, then simply has to drop an ethereal, light, or poison field to get inside.

Some profs have stealth abilities lol. Just a clever invader is all.

ALL HAIL THE ALMIGHTY LORD FLAME RAM!!!!!

With bombs and elixer s my engineer could probably get past the defenders. Any class with stealth can its just difficult
