Inviting Anet staff to play on JQ server
Why would they need an invite to their own servers?
Bloin – Running around, tagging Keeps, getting whack on Scoobie Snacks.
Why would they need an invite to their own servers?
Due to the map populations we have in T1, I’m guessing that we see the greatest performance decreases in game play from server performance issues. I’m just adding an open invite to any dev to come join us on JQ. Haven’t seen a red tag on JQ since Grouch was on a couple of times during S3.
Hello Anet staff,
I sincerely invite all of you to play on the Jade Quarry server to enjoy all the lagging, rubber banding, moon walking and disconnections that have recently become an important part of the gaming experience in GW2. I’m sure that these joyful experiences are also awaiting all of you on other tier 1 WvW servers.
Good job providing these exciting experiences to us. Keep up the good work.
Change server. Go to t9 and enjoy gw2
Aren’t there a few Anet people on BG? If T1 is the issue, they should have experienced there.

Yes and quite a few on TC as well, which is also T1. Though I practically never see them in WvW.
Solution:
Spread out. There are 21 other servers.

A-net provided many servers to spread the population out and minimize performance issues. They can hardly be held accountable when the player base then elects to dog-pile onto a few select servers.

Anet provides a map population limit to keep player and server performance at an acceptable level. Anet is accountable for sudden drops in performance if it is from hardware or software issues. As that is not within the players control as we are simply playing within the limits provided.
I do not get lag in game even in massive zerg fights, at most it may drop down to 33fps. However, I do think they should come enjoy having your TS DDoS’d just as both TC and BG broke into your gari at same time.. Let them get hit with Zoom hackers and wonder “How the hell can they do that?!” LOL
Then again, they should already know about all this, I saw devs on TC come in EB keep with both BG and TC in the keep and not fighting each other….
YES, come JQ and fight 40 man blobs with 15 people . XD

The best solution is to have more maps going at once on a server instead of increase map population.

So they should lower the map cap? I am for this 100%

If they lower the map cap and add more maps for players to be on at same time, it could work better than the current model.
WvW / PVP ONLY
I do not think player need ask game company to visit game world. If player complain of problem in game world; it is game company responsible to investigate and fix problem. I am 1 month+ in game; i do research and investigate to find same problem for long time. It is very sad when i read see player like begg game company; arena net to fix problem. Game Company should work together with player; not ignore and have player beg them to fix their game.

im on JQ and play at primetime. i get no lag even when there is a 3 world zerg battle.
so maybe its not anet’s problem? maybe you should be kittening at your provider?
Bring PPK back to WvW!!!

Either that or building a new computer.. LOL

I would think if they did play with you, they would connect with lan line directly to the server. they would experience none of your issues and instead blame it on your setup.
just sayin…

2nded, I am all for lower WvW map population caps but I don’t think this recent issue would be helped much by it. Might be a huge ISP issue or something ANET is doing with preparations for HoT but even in PvE lag has been silly stupid this week.

They should come join us on TC. :P
Been getting a lot of lag on TC but its usually when someone in the house is streaming Amazon prime.
I’m getting kind of tired of people piling onto high tier servers because they are too lazy to try and actually develop a group on a lower tier server, and THEN complaining about it. There is a system in place. Use it.

I don’t think it’s really a matter of laziness but more of structure and competition. This game is going towards 3 years and some people have never left certain tiers, so they’re more comfortable with the tier they’re in and the people they are fighting with/against. For others the lower tiers don’t offer the kind of fights they’re looking for in terms of size and frequency or potentially no fights whatsoever because of the timezone.

That’s not solution, that’s avoiding a problem, which is probably what people do in now days and it’s wrong. What post owner did was right, let them see where we play, and how it feels. If you fix 99% of your problems, problem is not solved, and there is no reason that Anet should be satisfied for fixing only some of servers… and letting others to share and “enjoy” horrible gaming experience.
