That’s your opinion, hardly a fact. From my personal experience, there have been very few times that I’ve logged in off hours and been able to say “Hey look we greatly outnumber SBI, lets take all there stuff!”, but there have been quite a few times that I’ve been wondering where the heck all our players are because we’re losing upgraded stuff we should have been able to hold.

Conjecture is one thing. I could just as well say we’re always outnumbered and it wouldn’t mean a thing.

What matters is PPT spread. Historical PPT spread pretty much confirms each server’s coverage gap.

I like how this thread has devolved into bickering between JQ and SBI…

Meanwhile, our server, IoJ, was aiming to be a T1 server and we proved that.

Bickerers gonna bicker. I’m from SBI and I have nothing but respect for all WvW warriors and the passion they show.

That being said, this match is going to be close and we will aim to make it as close as possible. I didn’t expect to have time for WvW and I wish I’d played a bit more than I did this week but I have to say that the time I spent in there was some of the most fun I’ve had in this game since launch.

Well played JQ and well played IoJ. And SBI…….I frakkin’ love you guys :-D

I just want everyone stop talking about superior coverage of JQ server. It’s not fact. The fact that JQ had outmanned buff in EB map this afternoon proves that. And no queue on any of the map.

The reason of JQ’s recent success is a group of dedicated WvW players and guilds from JQ sacrificing a lot of their own time, life to achieve the goal we always have, to be the best at WvW.

A lot of the leaders from JQ took the day off after taking a pretty significant lead. That’s what I observed in game, the usual commanders were non-existent since last night.

And for whatever reason, SBI came out swinging in full force during their supposed weakest time (EU prime time? as someone concluded).

This makes the match even more exciting now. Thank you SBI for the last push to make the last day of the match meaningful. We will see how the match ends.

Such a great match-up this week! Now close the free transfers so we don’t have to watch another round of servers imploding.

Also, congratulations to IoJ for showing that they’re more than capable of hanging with the top tier. We had some amazing fights with TL. Hopefully you guys can remain in the tier 1 bracket.

I heard SBI spawn camped JQ while IoJ assaulted their keep on EB and took it (was fully upgraded too).

I’m proud of IoJ for never becoming the third place server that guns for #2. Consistently fried to push JQ down on PPT for the whole week after they took the big lead. Really shows in how much closer the match remained…close enough for SBI to stage an epic comeback.

WvW that’s exciting to the last day, in tier 1. That hasn’t happened yet in the week matches can’t wait to see if SBI can successfully take and hold lead or will JQ manage to just barely come out on top?!

well… what can we say, we asked for oceanic presence and we got major help from oceanic guilds that transferred over to us TYVM. Although in the process, we lost some of our awesome NA guilds namely XoO, CDS, MF and others… really loving this week’s match either ways. The 2v1 thing, i mean c’mon this game is pretty much asking for it. It’s a matter of which server is getting focus fire from both enemy teams at one time or another. IMO, every server has their strongest and weakest hours but hands down JQ has the best coverage of all. I hope some of you realize that maybe just maybe… they just left WvW and went trick or treating instead. Since honestly for me i think, everytime WM and Oceanic friends log on they just steamroll everything. No offense intended to anyone but i play half swing/grave and can tell the major difference of gameplay.

Wow played for an hours this morning, what awesome fun. We took a tower and were fending off JQ and IoJ (they were not double teaming). We killed off one attack, then fended off another lol. Loving this week keep it up SBI

Kudos to SBI for the massive point push today.

Surely you jest. Do you honestly believe you pulled a 10k lead in a single day (the day of the patch) out of pure server skill? If so, why didn’t you guys do that sooner?

What a great match! It just keeps getting better. Not only did we have a very even weekend and almost even weekdays, now we will have (for the first time ever!) a tier 1 match that is not decided yet on the last day of the week!

The evening on the IoJ borderlands was incredible. Both bay and green spawn tower flipped hands at least once an hour. We also had JQ attempting a golem rush on garrison (when they did not own anything else), SBI holding the northern towers for short periods of time against huge IoJ masses, fun three-ways in supply camps…

Huge props to the Asian team, which managed to turn this around and cut the distance to JQ in half.

And for once, I am really proud to be in the EU part of SBI: Usually our job is to enter a map owned by the enemy and secure a camp and spawn tower, so the NA team has something to work with, while being hugely outnumbered.

This time, we managed to hold onto almost everything that the Asian part of SBI got. We went down from 450+ to about 350+, but kept all three orbs despite being occasionally outmanned.

So, NA SBI team: You can make it happen! Only 3k more to go till we overtake JQ! Gogo!

instead of fighting the Sbi and IoJ, people starts to challenage our commanders and question their decision. It is so hard to form a function zerg in BL right now without seeing a few guys question them.

WHAT an amazing battle this has been!? It was neck and neck, with around 1 thousand points between any team at any given time, until the Halloween event shook things up, and JQ took a 22 thousand point lead over SBI… The SBI teams pushed as hard as they ever had today, and our day shift really stepped up and closed the gap quickly. At this writing, we are currently 1207 points away from first place, and are doing everything we can to keep IOJ off our southern flank and JQ off the northern. Tonight and early tomorrow will definitely be interesting as everyone shoves in and starts pushing for that number one spot. Good Luck and Good Battles everyone!

Exactly one of the reasons why i’m not out there. I left around 5am EST last night, we had upgrades going at SM and were doing a decent job keeping SBI off our land for the most part. I come back on later tonight to see everything but our keep taken(getting attacked from ioj at north, sbi south). I tried to rally a force of our guys who were doing squat and no one wanted to listen at all. Eventually we got things going and started to cap most of our land back. The attitude of the people on our server never used to be like this at all, I partly blame the free transfers and the bandwagon hoppers.

Overall its been a fun week, I enjoyed it immensely and look forward to another good match up regardless of what place we finish. Oh and who ever that little asura necro commander on sbi night crew is, great fights at golanta! Take care everyone, see you out there.

9pm PST and no queues on JQ at all, even into EB instantly… that makes me sad honestly…

Well, I was quite disappointed last night in SBI BL, IOJ present is 0 there and SBI have full control. and we are hitting greenwather, and greenlake and the camp near IOJ spawn side in pretty unorganized way. One commander come in hit lake and camp then go out so did the next one some of the ppl trying to organize keep calling to re-group at spawn point but most don’t listen and keep charging to lake. In the end, we got outmanned buff. But It was fun hitting camps with about 4 ppl from FS. Once they gone I moved to JQ BL which is instance Q sign props to SBI organization on their flanks and getting down our seiges using mesmer are great. I just hope our organization is better in BL now.

It’s amazing that that all SBI BL and EB has a queue. I thought our crew would get demoralize, but no we didn’t give up. Also kudos to IoJ, I still see plenty of you guys on every map.

Anyways I hope it doesn’t happen but I think it’s just a matter of time before the “we didn’t show up that’s why you caught up,” “did you really think you could come back if our player didn’t go PVE,” and over 9000+ other varieties of comments. I really hope this doesn’t come to this.

And you would be correct. I thought we already concluded that a large contingent of SBI are PVE players. It’s not even an excuse anymore, some pve content pops up we’re the first one there. JQ on the other hand has quite a handful of wvw guilds for reason we already know. I suppose they also went to pve.

Well let’s stop this QQ’ing about this as I was just pointing out what the comments on the previous pages are about.

And I am just pointing out that when JQ wins or is winning, they never get credit for their success, its pretty pathetic what people will make up whatever in their mind to placate their egos about the whole matter. SBI has played great for this past day and deserve it if they win, I won’t make excuses about it.

Frankly whoever wins, doesn’t even really matter, except bragging rights for a week, cause Blackgate is going to beat both SBI and JQ next week easily in my opinion, cause that is where the bandwagon train went 2 weeks ago.

it seems that most of the people in JQ are either transfered or give up on wvw this week… we dont even have queues in wvw today :/

no matter who wins, this is one of the most exciting week in wvw t1 so far.

I think the main problem right now is motivation. There is no reason whatsoever to win or lose by a few thousand. The match ups next week will remain the same and the score won’t be that different to affect things much.

Why spend time and resources trying to win, what does a server get for winning really at the top?

I think there should be a built in incentive for people to care enough to win besides bragging rights. But that is more of a suggestion for things than anything else.

SBI has never won a T1 match, so that’s our motivation right there. I actually think that SBI is in the best spot right now in terms of morale and motivation. We’ve never rofl stomp the T1 match – we are there but not quite there yet. So in our mindset there are still things to look forward to, polishing our coverage, winning a T1 match etc.

Yenn, but yes, and after that? I am talking long term, if 3-4 servers get entrenched at the top, there will be little motivation to waste resources pushing for #1.

This has been an absolutely thrilling week of WvW and what an ending it will have.

Wow…nice to be zerged on jq again…blatant 2v1in going on..gg …it’s way more fun than last few weeks when I wouldn’t bother to pvp cause we owned everything on every map…having a big oceanic presence is the most important thing for a server to have…sbi seems to be gaining loads of players in this time…now anet , fix the player clipping and remove the downed state add realm points to further your characters progression and we might have something special..oh…and fix that free transfer thing .

It has been a great week. And, all 3 servers have put up good fights. And, most important it has been fun. I’m on SBI and nothing has changed. You know how we are, it isn’t about the score it is about the fight and no one will go home a loser out of this one no matter how it turns out.

Keep your rewards out of WvW thank you very much, an intrinsic motivation is far better to have and a better way of sustaining long term play. Personally i think that anet should stop censoring our WvW match threads, lets create some animosity and fire and maybe some long term enemies… the best reason for pvp is to rub someones smug face in defeat.
Also having any sort of reward to the winner would make the bandwagon effect ten times as bad as it is now

Congrats to SBI for being able to convince IoJ to be their lapdogs and settle for third. I’m not sure how you pulled that off, but man, that’s some serious politics you all have going. Honestly, convincing a whole server to settle for last to help you get first… I’m impressed.

Please. I’ve seen IoJ waste so many opportunities to run around behind SBI and grab stuff, instead they camp spawn or the like while SBI focuses their entire force on Bay for example. That’s why I say lapdogs. They were told to sit, stay, and have been doing exactly that. How SBI pulled that off is indeed impressive. Maybe promises they can haz candy corn? I don’t know, but that’s some serious politics, especially if they’ve fooled IoJ into thinking it’s actually in their best interests to settle for third.
