Interesting. IOJ enter Tier 1 and are flying, they are keeping up with the big boys. The Candycorn patch happens, and they disappear from WvW and get demoted to tier 2.

Then IOJ are in Tier 2 for many weeks, but then the Candy Cane patch happens, they disappear from WvW and get demoted to tier 3.

IoJ wasn’t flying in T1. They also got kicked out in T1 before the Halloween update. That happened in the first week BG was in T1, but the result you said happened to us. After Halloween, we had no one show. The problem with our PuGs is consistency. The 1st week in T2, our numbers nearly doubled.

You are absolutely full of kitten. We were winning t1 (by a small margin) until the day of the Halloween event which was Wednesday 24th of october.. When we ended up loosing by 80k and your massive win got you into T1. Our coverage has never been the same since. We used to have 3 hour queues on reset, that lasted up to 24 hours, now we never have them at anytime.

You should take a look at yourself, go back and read over your posts and think have you ever had anything to say but stirring servers/people up and when you realize thats all you do then think about if that’s the type of person you want to be. If it is I won’t be surprised.

Anet stop this Outmanned rubbish, give us ranks and rewards. The gear is fine but something more unique. maybe even military town clothes with medals. more options on weapons not just the one, pets, anything to stop the declining numbers.

I play on SoS and even though the other two servers complain about our coverage we have the outmanned buff a lot, and we are supposed to have the best coverage out of all the servers.

Try reading the whole post and not 1 sentence and you might find that was used more of an example, and nothing was said about BG not pushing.

I can say BG isn’t pushing anything at all… Just check the current situation:

BG has secured the win with a 40k lead. There is no way SoR can win so most ppl are resting for tomorrow. Theres also an alliance meeting going on so many of the commanders are involved with that at this moment.

Actually, We held first for a minimal time on Oceanic Saturday, dropped to second and were barely holding on Sunday, and were dropping a lot more on the Monday. It would’ve been a tough comeback before Wednesday, so plus the ‘event’ we would have had no chance.

We haven’t seen them for an hour or two now but they were here. They tried to push garrison about 3-4 times and gave up after getting wiped each and everytime. Haven’t seen them since.

A true tier one server doesn’t just quit when they have first place locked up. How do you expect to ever get enough points to move to tier one if you let up 20-30k points in the last 24 hours or so? No wonder you guys been stuck in tier 2 for so long. I love being on a server that never quits world vs world even if we are getting blown out or blowing out the other server.

What happens in tier 1 determines if BG moves up, one of those servers has to be beaten at least two weeks in a row by a sizable amount.

We haven’t given up 20-30k points either, not even sure where that number came from. Also we’ve seen SoR quit a few times in the past 5 weeks, especially in those weeks where you had the lead and lost it and we utterly demoralized you. It was how IoJ came in 2nd one of those weeks, you guys were “resting”.

Huh? We are working on moving our way up, we gained about 30 rating this week. You do realize how the glicko rating system works correct?

Huh? We are working on moving our way up, we gained about 30 rating this week. You do realize how the glicko rating system works correct?

The more points you accumulate during your matchup in regards to the predicted outcome is how much you move up in rank. I’m sorry but resting during the last 24 hours and giving up points because of it will inevitable lower your WvW ranking in the long run. Instead of gaining lets say 40 points you would only gain 30 and so forth.

It’s better to lose than win in some ways because you learn how to fix the mistakes. Which is what we have been doing these past couple weeks and has shown. But saying we have been getting “owned” is laughable. We both know SoR has been head-to-head with BG even with no night crew. The main reason BG has a lead like that is because they hold most of the map during the night/morning while we sleep and do things in the real world!

We were in t1 for three weeks, not two so at least get the basic facts right before you continue to point out that BG has actually made it to t1, unlike sor. We came in 2nd the first week and third the last 2 weeks in tier 1 before SoS had enough points to move up. How well did your server do in T1?

IOJ your server was the victim of attrition. Your population could gain new interest in playing again. Good luck in T3. Was fun playing against you all I hope you guys have more fun there.

TC you guys are a good server, I’m going to wait and see what happens because I don’t know what has changed since last time we fought. Good luck to you all.

Blackgate you guys just have enough numbers to be in T1 unless SBI takes a dive similar to IOJ your going to be in T2 a very long time now that TC is moving up your not going to be able to leech points off of them like you did to IOJ and SoR is very strong during the times of days your not.

So all of this talk about BG is moving up to T1 isn’t going to happen so easily specially now.

I love IOJ, and seeing new leaders rise up and continue coverage where there was none before is a beautiful thing.

So looking forward to seeing the server develop and destroy whatever pops up As our numbers stabilize, I can only imagine improvement.

BG seems like a very arrogant server, I can see why many people across all the servers in T1-T3 don’t have a lot of respect for them.

Which is a bit surprising and a shame really considering I think they have a couple strong guilds in their ranks.

Ya a few weeks ago someone from sor posted a video of a mesmer on BG glitching a couple BG zergs into a keep and then somone from SoR coined the name Hackgayte it was hilarious watching that whole drama.

I’m just getting into WvW myself. I enjoy it, but everytime we strike a blackgate strong point, 10 minutes later they have like 50 players showing up. I’ve definiately improved my hit and run raiding skills because of this, but I’d like to play against a server where our chances are a little more even. Kudo’s to blackgate.

Particularly the ones that show how Blackgate has no Oceanic/Euro opposition on weekdays, allowing them to begin every primetime with full upgrades, and enjoy several hundred ticks of full points. Or the statistics that show BG melts during NA primetime. Or how historically, SoR holds the lead prior to these coverage gaps.

Not that it’s BG’s fault we have a lacking EU/OCEAN presence, and we shouldn’t hold them accountable for that. However, BG also has to acknowledge that without that gap, the results would likely be frighteningly different.

Guilds are already big enough to take their own decisions, and if they leave a server to join another, i think it the guild fault and not the server to where they xfered.

Yes, it sucks to feel like you are losing because of something you can’t reasonably control. Lashing out at your fellow players doesn’t help though. It’s a combination of several fundamental design flaws in WvW that a small subset of players has such a profound impact on the matching.
