I see enough kittening on the forums about how WvW is all about X or Y and that’s it. I can only assume they are referring to high-tier server play where most maps are queued most of the time. I can definitely imagine how that would get old fast….

Is that what it is? Because down in FC we don’t have that problem. We get some healthy numbers, but I’ve never seen more than 1 map queued at a time, and any queue is rare outside prime hours. We have our own coverage gaps and so do the servers we play against, meaning throughout the week 24/7 the feel and pace of the match is constantly changing. One minute you’re outnumbered holding on for dear life and before you know it you’re melting them down in their keep lord’s room.

We have a great TS community that helps each other and communicates and works together. Every person in WvW is valued and appreciated, instead of just preventing the next person from getting out of the queue.

I just wanted to point out to all the QQers that say WvW is just about zergball facerolling… it doesn’t have to be.

People like to exaggerate because they think it make them look good. Most of the time, it is all bull and only a single skewed view instead of reality.

I speak for my self and no one else. Only fools believe they speak for a majority.

AFAIK, T1 maps being constantly being queued is incorrect. BG generally only has 4 map queue on reset and its only a short wait to get in. After a few hours the queues start to be removed. It comes back during NA prime on Sunday. Monday-Friday at most I see one map queued during my primetime. Usually none.

That^^.

Plus, most of the folks who think all zerging is mindless are people who just mindlessly follow the zerg. Granted, karma trains through EB aren’t unheard of. On JQ at least, if you hop in voice chat and actually get involved in the commanders’ communications, you’ll learn that different commanders have different approaches, and the good ones bother to communicate both what their intentions are, and what they expect of you following them. I was in Ehmery Bay at launch, and joined a JQ guild this summer. I haven’t regretted it once.

The possibility of physical and mental collapse is now very real.
No sympathy for the Devil, keep that in mind.

As someone that has a main account on SF and an alt-account (previously on BG) now on JQ:

I can tell ya the queues are not as bad as people make out. My guess is that most of these people are trying to get guild groups in and that is where a lot of the complaining comes in.

Are there more queues/more people on T1s? Absolutely. The longest I have waited to get into a map was about 30 minutes, and that was queued from another map on Saturday at NA prime. SF (a T7-8 server) can queue 2-3 maps on reset nights.

It is a trade-off, do you want to play on a tier that has some queues, but always has people? Or do you want to play on a lower tier server that rarely has queues but there might only be 15 people on an entire map?
