Guild Wars 2

Since the release of HoT masses of skilled players and guilds have left gw2. Everyday gw2 loses more and more wvw players. All that is left is the players trying to hang on for lack of another game like wvw. And players and guilds that strive to do nothing but make the wvw experience as unpleasant as possible for other players. WvW is no longer fun for anybody except those type of people that find it enjoyable to make playing unenjoyable for other players.
It’s just time for anet to cut their losses and shut wvw down for good. With there not being a skill balance coming any time soon its a lost cause to keep it up and im sure the upkeep cost isn’t worth it.

But regardless of your reinteration of quotes already said, if you would’ve actually understood what I said, I said “its full of players trying to hold on for lack of another wvw game. and the players….”
which one are you? the ones trying to have a good time and holding on or the ones making wvw unenjoyable for those trying to have a good time?

I recently came back from a year and a half hiatus (due to IRL). WvW is less populated, but no less fun. It’s up to us as players to make it fun with what we have. Find your own way, if you absolutely cannot have fun in WvW, why play? There are plenty of games that offer fun battles in PvP.

My 2 cents at least.

Its easy to tell who those particular players are that enjoy making the game less enjoyable for other players by the comments.
I also love the assumptions made by the ones leaving comments. w/e

Fwiw, I am having great fun in wvw on TC. Some really fun wvw guilds on that server. And I am seeing action out there whenever I play. Oh yea, and I am one of those players that just likes to have fun in wvw.

Confirmation bias. Followed by another assumption. Dealing with forums is easier with an extra monitor. I can still play this ‘dying game’ on the other monitor.

WvW is okay atm, some days I feel like playing it and it is fun because there is lot of enemies in higher tiers, if its PvD then I can just roam.
Just the Meta shifted so that bad commanders are superbad now and the fight is over in 1 second because the comm got everyone killed due to picking bad spot to fight, being bad at guardian or some other reason. Supporting bad “old-timers” is just pointless, they just should either learn or stop tagging up.

If you don’t want to play wvw anymore than don’t play it, why ask for it to be shut down? I doubt there’s a high upkeep cost since it runs on all the same servers as pve, all it is extra zones which are pvp enabled. They don’t run events, and the system runs on it’s own except for when they need to relink servers.

Although maybe a little extreme you do make some good points. I’m afraid you’ll find little support here as most WvW players who haven’t abandoned the game have abandoned these forums a long time ago because of their, let’s say strictness and resistance to any criticism.

tbh I know lots of people who run WvW and find good fights, whether in 1v1s or gvg’s. WvW isnt as active as it was, say 3 years ago, however it’s still a fun mode for those that legit enjoy it for the fights (both small and large scale, i know you know what im talking about,lol)

To go as far as say its only enjoyable for those that make it unenjoyable for others would certainly make it an opinion that is not shared by the majority of the WvW community however I will respect that it is your personal opinion.
