I was not arguing. I was explaining to you objectively why and how I would kill you, despite your being a D/D bunker ele. I would remind you that you were the one that felt strongly enough about the experience that you posted, and I was responding.

Dude I posted at everyone that tried to kill me, not just you. I only pointed you out because you were the most stubborn about it despite the fact that you probably had the least chance of anyone that had been attacking me simply due to the class you are playing.

Its all good though. I look forward to seeing you out there in the future when we can make our points to each other in person.

Me too. Next time we meet, and you run away, run away from your zerg, and we can test whether all the cooldowns I saved to finish you net me a kill or not. Otherwise, I would be happy to hop into an empty sPvP server and confirm your “you can’t kill me, I’m a bunker” theory. Weekday activity has been hit and miss for weeks, but we have had a few more guilds start to transfer off during the last two or three days. With the announcement of the end of free transfers, people are in a hurry to find the server they want to stay on permanently.

That sucks, I hope SBI stays afloat. I like facing you guys so I’m hoping that it’s just a matter of people taking the night off more than it is transfers taking place.

From what I know, we’ve lost at least 4 active WvWvW guilds after the announcement on server transfers, could be more as our PPT is half of what it usually is now.

Ninja’s SBI’s garrison with 1 golem and 6 people, turned into a hour long defense fighting off SBI after, meanwhile i found 4 TC ninja’ering inner water gate.

CHIPS is right. Off-peak SBI (outside NA time) is pretty much skeleton staffing and staving off as much as possible the losses till NA time comes back.

Last two nights Oceanic time have begun to feel like the last few weeks of T1; with tooth-n-nail fights in our BL to hold Garrison and what ever else our hard-bitten commanders can scare-up pug-wise. Kudos goes to them and the remnants of intact guilds who are still fighting.

Being under-the-pump constantly can grind the less hardy gamer down rapidly; when it stops being fun a server’s numbers understandably begin to hemorrhage. All that arguably happened over a month ago so any losses now are simply exacerbating that trend.

Being SBI in WvW feels a little bit like a nation displaced. Lots of diaspora out there! Even those remaining die-hards aren’t yet sure when or if we’ll find our home-tier again. We’ll do our best to hold T2 but TC are strong; SoR is annihilating us off-peak.

So we can’t blame anyone for leaving now, given fighting against the odds is fun for a time; but it’s not everyone’s cup-o-tea. Especially when time and time again the score-line (and lack of rewarding hours being beaten back to spawn) just aren’t able to compete with what’s on offer on other servers or outside the game altogether.

That said, SBI isn’t gone, just really bruised-up. Hopefully the battle-hardened few will rally and we’ll prove naysayers in T1 that we’re far from dead.

Sorry to hear it. SBI has been an amazing opponent when you guys could pull the numbers – even when you couldn’t it was very obvious that the server is hardened through months of experience in the highest tier and that we have so much to learn from you guys. All the best and may SBI rally and stay strong because this has been a great T2 matchup.

This is not something new. SBI has not won a match in more than 2 months now. It is a fact that we have not been T1 material number-wise for as long, too.

At first with LoD leaving, the disadvantage was not too serious. WM started playing more, some others started playing more, and we could hold our place in T1. Then WM left. SF started playing longer, SBI guild started playing longer, and we could still hold back the enemy to prevent a fast drop. But that was just will (and some skill) disgusing the fact that SBI should not have been in T1 anymore. I see other servers talking about queues. What is that? Friday reset aside, we have not had queues in months. Btw, when I say outnumbered, I am counting dedicated, serious WvWers. The obvious tendency of non dedicated WvW to stop playing when losing only aggravates that.

On SBI, guilds are no longer assigned to maps. The simple reason: You have to switch from map to map every 30 minutes to stop another attack by the enemy, while hoping that those you just left unopposed on the old map do not catch on. Then they do, and you hop again.

Of course, both other servers sooner or later smell the blood, so being outnumbered means that not only do you have to fight the larger numbers of 1 server, but the larger numbers of both servers.

The morale held out for 2 months, which I feel is a lot longer than some other servers that tanked, but we have been living above our means all that time. And now there is an earthquake in the form of the end of free transfers.

Guilds had to choose whether they want to go on fighting when for the one big WvW guild we have, there are 4 enemy big guilds trying to kill us. Fighting an outnumbered last stand is fun and all, but several months of an outnumbered last stand, less so. In a way, SoR’s good current showing killed us: We all come from weeks of being outnumbered in T1. Realizing that T2 will be more weeks of being outnumbered ended peoples hopes.

Then, we see the trend in server transfers. Do people go to the servers that actually are outnumbered? No, they tend to flock to the places where already plenty of WvW reside. So the perspective is more of the same in the future.

I think the bottom line for many WvWers on SBI is: We fought the good fight for a long time, now it is time to have the numbers on our side for once. Personally, I prefered the good fight.

Yeah, I hope the mass bandwagoning doesn’t bump SBI any further. You guys have been great fun to fight, definitely performing above the numbers you were fielding. I had a great view of the fight the other night in the TC Garr 3-way. The current match-up has been great.

The reason I enjoy WvW so much is for the great fights when there are numbers on the maps from all sides. I really don’t care what tier my server is in as long as it’s competitive. While I enjoy the strategy of siege and counter siege, open field is where it’s at. SBI and TC both bring fun open field combat when the numbers are there. Thanks for a great week to all.

In my opinion, next week would even be worse.

You will still be in T2 tomorrow. But if you do so terrible next week, you’ll go to T2.

The way the ranking works makes it so that it is best to loose big one week and break even the next week, than it is to loose small two times. You’ll stay in T2, I think (unless we at TC get some Asian/Euro players in, but there don’t seem to be many comming over).

As a dedicated WVW player I couldn’t be happier (if the grapevine is true) that several other guilds will be joining us shortly. Having said that, I know what it’s like when people leave your server for another. Back in the day, when SoR was 14th or 17th (not sure which one was our lowest rank) it was hard to maintain the optimism. Hang in there SBI, good days and bad days come and go.

Just wanted to thank SBI and TC for what has probably been the best week of wvw combat I have ever seen. I’m not happy just because we finally changed color (after at least 2 months of being blue) but because every single time I logged in there was always an epic battle somewhere to be had.

I look forward to yet another week of awesome fights!

I have a wonder: if Sanctum of Rall enters T1, we would have 4 Tier 1 capable servers.

Does that mean us in T2 will always have a benched T1 server dominating us?

I hope not….this happened back when the game first launched with HoD, JQ, SBI, and ET(?). It was terrible for the tier 2 servers and the odd tier 1 server left to drop to tier 2. There was no fun in any of that. I’d rather have 6 tier one servers all capable of winning each and every week.

If you are there for the fight and to have fun, it is a blast most nights. If you are there to win…..not so much.

There are still alot of capable servers making their way up the ladder.

Kaineng looks like it may actually be a contender sooner than later. There’s been a lot of movement, and not just in the top two tiers.

So was NYS etc. Great pick ups for SoR but if they were playing on JQ they were not doing so publicly and no one I know remembers seeing them there. Not sure why it’s being said their alliance left JQ to drop down a tier. Maybe I am wrong but I remember fighting ex TA/HoD [SYN] on SBI not seeing them on JQ ever.

Good pick up for SoR’s week coverage. From the sounds of it we will being seeing you in a few weeks. Hopefully its in t1 not t2.

SOR is currently ranked 5th overall and 2nd in tier. This is where SOR was both when they decided to transfer here and when they actually transferred here. One guild transferred down over all rank and same rank in tier. One guild transferred down rank in tier and up rank overall.

Bandwagon in this case? Absolutely not. There is no way you can honestly describe either as such. If you want a true example of bandwagon, take a look at what nine dragons did. At the time of their transfer, they went from #2 to #1 in tier and #5 to #4 overall. Not only that, they did it in the middle of the match up. That my friend is the definition of bandwagon.

You’re thinking of 2 different SYNs.

Syndicate Alliance was on JQ, even when I was there.

Synapse was on SBI.

Both came to SoR.
