I’ll admit, TC’s locust-inspired swarm of players eventually overran us as they did every night when we started to go to sleep. However, times have changed on FA. No more easy night caps for TC. No more ridiculous population mismatch between us. I’m leaving my bedsheets at home this week cuz I’m just gonna snuggle tight in with all the TC bodies that litter the ground. Anywho, this isn’t the right thread for such talk. That thread has been created though.

Seriously, the guys hanging in there on SBI deserve the highest respect.

That is actually great to hear. I’m happy they are doing this, and shows hope for them as a server in the future. Perhaps the reset attracted some new players there? Anyhow, SBI was tier 1 and obviously an awesome server. It is sad to see these servers torn apart by bandwagon players.

Quite possibly the largest Doly Parade ever! I wish some SBI had shown up but there was plenty of SoR present. Special thanks to [FEAR] and [DOLY] supporter mini bav for providing security! Thanks again Mighty Dolyak for supplying so much more than just supply!

Was fun running with the yaks. And in TS Bav tried to make sure no one attacked. At least not from FEAR. Lucky for me people from TC like plush griffons and I was only attacked a few times.

Turned on the FEAR tag once just to see what would happen. Oops. lol

edit – never let it be said that players from SoR can’t have a little fun.

Lol it did. Well for the most part. I think some of those SoR fellows just wanted a little moose meat for dinner. Thankfully after they’d nibbled on me, and a few others, the tryptophan kicked in and they joined in the fun. Most made it all the way through with zero deaths, which speaks volumes of how great it was When I compare it to that first fateful dolyak parade waaay back when, it was a roaring success! It’s pretty freaky to run in a sea of red names, but that’s half the fun.

I did film the event and my friend and I are recording a special dolyak-related parody cover to go with it as a send off for SoR

Good fights from Pink, AL, and DIS these past couple of weeks, fun watching you guys grow in both tactics and skill. Good luck this week coming up, BG is surely in for a surprise <3

Be missin’ ye CHOO ‘n FEAR lubs fer tha fun we be havin’ wit sum o’ TSL’s new group tactics. Jes wish ye had a few less lads ‘n yer crews.. o’ we be havin’ jes a few more ’n ours.

Oh, Aurust, KH organizes more than just Dolyak Parades. We just had our usual five man roaming gank squads running around every day, and our regular large raid nights during the week. We’re also a night crew, so we’re not usually logging in in big numbers until 10-12midnight EST, which is well after the yak parade. It doesn’t really interfere with our other organized battle-related ventures.

Also, fighting 3 to 1 odds when the big server shuffleup is tomorrow seems kinda…meh… Instead of forcing ourselves to do something that could end up being tedious, we decided not to burn ourselves out and focus on enjoying ourselves instead. The yak parade lasts only about an hour and it’s at the end of the week when the scores are about set. It’s a way to blow off steam. I don’t think of it as a waste of time, but as an enjoyable way to cap off a long week of tough fights.

Maybe you disagree that having fun is the point of the game, or you feel that we could obviously be having more fun by trying to get a big push going, but you are not us. You really can’t dictate what other people find enjoyable, and trying to talk down to people for having differing tastes just shows your lack of empathy and maturity.

And to the SoR who joined the parade tonight, I really can’t thank you guys enough. The video is going to be great, and it was so much fun marching with you guys. I hope you guys take the yak parade with you wherever you go, or perhaps a quaggan or plush griffon parade. It’s a great outlet.

Fighting burnout, keeping players happy and building relationships is just as important as being competitive. If our opponents fear us in combat but also have fun partying with us I think TC would consider that a win.

This has been quite the dramatic match-up, even if it was lopsided all this week. TC kept pushing and kept the spirit, and SBI rallied at the end with a few awesome “For Frodo!” moments. And to top it all off, a successful Dolyak Parade. Good times! Although SoR dominated, I believe TC learned a treasure trove of valuable lessons. Trial by fire! Thanks for that

indeed. thank you SoR. we needed a match exactly like this, and i wish it could have lasted another week or two. we got a lot of the rust shaken off, though we still have a little way to go. with any luck, BG can finish the job next match, and i can go back to sleeping at a normal hour again.

I missed most of the week with a broken clavicle, but reset night was fun.

As for the FA folks reading, I expect a great matchup with you guys next week. You guys were great opponents and, imo, the only thing we had on you at the time was numbers across all maps. The maps we were even on, there were some great fights.

Don’t worry about it, I’m actually ashamed my server couldn’t kill you before you got back to the spot, so shame on us lol. Had I been there it would be a different story ;-)
Now that ranger you guys have that was exploiting some bug I’ve never seen (getting multiple cannon shots to the face and instantly refilling hp when no one else was around as well as sending his pet up the wall)….well, ’nuf said about that.

Oh, we killed him. But its still bad form, IMO, to use those spots. If you are going to jump down from your spawn, then fight and die.

That is actually pretty weak :\. I prefer to use cheap tonics over plain old fashioned emotes yawn how boring and 10 years ago, also some people have emotes disabled. Fireworks are nice but I feel those should be reserved for tower/keep takes and things of this nature. For good ole corpse taunting, definitely transformation tonics, I usually go with snowman to the face.
