Jumping Puzzle Camping
I felt the same way, then I realized that the puzzle rewards are very PvP oriented (2 blueprints each time, which can be quite an investment if obtained using regular methods) so that there can be a real incentive to block people from other servers who are trying to complete the puzzle.

Because you get blueprints it’s a strategic objective to guard the jumping puzzle. The world is full of jumping puzzles — go do one of them. It’s not a violation of ToS.
It is a PvP zone, expect to get ganked, zerged, griefed etc…. If you don’t like it, go do the PvE puzzles or just go do PvE, I don’t get this mentality of crying because you get killed/zerged in a PvP area. Saying it is against the ToS is the sillyiest thing I have heard yet. If you REALLY want to do the puzzle, get some friends and go fight them, this is not a single player game afterall.

If your not in WvW to do just that stay out why even bother doing a JP for siege if your not going to use it?
understand that people are trying to fight and if there is a Q its a serious detriment to your server to be in the battleground doing PVE.

It can be frustrating, ive been pulled off the starting ledge by a mesmer and his crew an ganked.
Though another time when enemies where camping the dark room, we got a bunch of guildies with no torches and gave them the fright of thier life

I personally LOVE to camp at the top of the arena area of Obsidian. I open the gates for the Veteran mobs to roam, I pelt jumpers with rocks, and if I get enough of my server up with me, I build Arrow Carts (which can reach anywhere in the arena). There is absolutely nothing against this in any rule, as WvW is PvP. Why do you think the Devs put all those rocks at the top? Just for show? No. It’s so you can throw it and knock people down.
If you truly don’t wish to battle others, you should transfer to a server with strong WvWers. IF your server owns all 3 keeps, they you can run Obsidian without worry. If you look at the map, and see that 1 or 2 others also own a keep, don’t go in.
I like the PvP inside the jumping puzzle, mostly…as it’s as close as we get in GW2 to classic “open PvP”. It also tends to be smaller in scale where personal skill matters more.
However I have nothing but disdain for kittens who camp the entrance with 4+ people picking off single players as they enter. That’s just pretty low. I will go out of my way to make these gankers pay and they pay up, every time (even if it takes a while).
I totally agree, camping puzzle in WvWvW is evil and shouldn’t go unpunished. However I think the real problem in WvWvW is people camping inside towers, keeps and castle denying the other server xp and karma, especially when it is the same guys over and over again.
The jumping puzzles offer blueprints. Why on earth would another server just let you go in and grab them?
I’ll admit, I’ve camped a jumping puzzle with some guildies. Was great fun and ended with quite a finale as well. After killing the same few people a couple times, they apparently found some friends. A whole lot of friends. A zerg of around 20 players rushed through. We knocked most of them off, but a couple got through, and while fighting them, more got through.
WvW is open PvP. Sitting in a jumping puzzle is no different than hiding behind a hill near a supply camp and waiting for the enemy to try to cap it.
Different strokes for different folks.

Wvw should be turned into a PVE zone. It’s unfair for PVP-averse folks in its’ current state.
Again, if you don’t like PvP, don’t play it. Obsidian is for servers who own the keep with the access gate. Mistwrought is open for anyone who can make it to the area (I’ve camped inside the Vault and ambushed players coming in too). Both are in open PvP. Don’t go in and expect us to just let you walk by and take goodies that can be used against us. You want it, you earn it.

FYI – Camping inside a tower or keep is called DEFENDING. Same term can be used for camping the jumping puzzles.

Is this a troll thread? Why would you do WvW if you don’t want to be attacked by other players? There are tons of jumping puzzles on the PVE side.
I think the people that get frustrated are the ones looking for a way to get badges for the legendary without fighting

To be honest i’m not convinced they should even be in WvW. The jump puzzle that is. It takes a significant number out of the action when the whole point of world vs world is the combat and holding objectives.
I like jump puzzles. I don’t like that they are in WvW.
It isn’t wrong, but sometimes it is just bad form. It is just stupidly annoying. I think the worst is when three people camp where the chest is so when you open the door you get ganked and…that is it, you are screwed.
It’s only closer to trolling if you have control of the EB puzzle and someone from your own realm is continually sitting off the traps on his own team.

Then don’t do them? Sounds simple enough. But if you do, be prepared for some friendly fun as you get knocked down by hidden log traps.

Nah, this is fun too. But only if your server owns all Keeps. It would be bad form to nail your ally while Invaders are right behind him.
I could do without siege being placed in the jump puzzles, but otherwise everything is fine. Even siege I can work around, just a pain at times.
