Jumping Puzzles in WvW
only 2 JPs in pvp zone.
Your bl JP = nearly enemy free zone.
OS JP= I suggest group up with few people and do this. But seriously this is only JP that has some pvp actions in it.
Translation – “I’m a PVE’er who needs this for an achievement or something.”
Fighting in the JPs is FUN – if you don’t like jumping and fighting, go do a PVE JP. No need to change anything imo.
Tarnished Coast
Personally, I love the obsidian sanctum JP. There’s enough stealth spots to get you through safely, as long as you’re careful where you step, and to be honest I love the action! I’m not the kind of person who starts the fight, but once it is initiated I love duking it out. Granted, there have been times where I was frustrated because traps were set to remove my stealth, and enough people were around to keep me from getting my reward at the end. However, when I take the good and bad times together, the good outweighs the bad. Just the way I see it.
I wish there were more maps like Obsidian Sanctum xD
Actually im player from EU server Piken Square and i got totally surprised last week when i go to Obisdian Sanctum for a WvW Tournament Achievment (also im a 100% wvw player).
EVERYONE were doing jumping puzzles. By saying everyone i mean all 3 servers, WITHOUT fighting each other. Especially at the stage with torches, there were something like 3-6 players from each server. At first I got scared that they are just making some traps there. But no! When I saw players from my server running with them (afer failing a jump) i realized that everyone are there just for the achievment. That was one of the best things i saw in this game. Community is just great.
One of the greatest moments was when i by accident lost my torch and players from OTHER server lights up path for me. And at the end of JP on top of the chest we were dancing together for a few minutes :P

I don’t believe you. I thought EU players had more sense than that.
A 100% WvW player would be embarrassed to admit such nonsense. You sir, are mistaken…. Let me help you.
What you really meant to say…
I’m a 100% wvw player. I take advantage of opportunity where it presents itself. However, after satisfying myself, if it is red…it is dead (unless I am JQ/TC). I will not allow the enemy an unnecessary advantage (unless I am JQ/TC). I will not jump, dance, eat, sleep or otherwise be happy with the enemy (unless I am JQ/TC).
One of my greatest moments what when an enemy lit my path for me… and I killed him for it and danced on his broken pathetic corpse.
That is… if you REALLY are 100% wvw.
Historically, a 100% wvw never wastes time with JPs unless the enemy is camped and mezzers are portaling.

Lol he’s not lying. Please tell him more about what he really means…
I’m on SOS and we just faced Black Gate and Tarnished Coast. I entered the JP several times and ran it with both BG folks and TC folks. Occasionally there’d be a guild spawning people, but for the most part everyone was pretty chill.

I have always supported the idea that the competitive jumping puzzles should be war objectives — fully able to be captured with supporting PPT.
With or without mezzers…the whole thought of zerging a jp is amusing and it would offer havocs and/or solos a more meaningful role in the overall war.
I believe they are like soft core porn now. Neither fully accepted nor fully satisfying.
Whining about JP’s now is even more inane than it was when they were genuinely problematic.
