Hey guy, this is my first post on the official forums, so I just wanna say that I’m enjoying playing with you all in game! Most of all you Yak’s Bend players; I just wanted to give a suggestion to Arena Net on how I think they can improve upon WvW and make it more lucrative to all players.
Getting to the point I was trying to come up with a way for players to wanna go out and fight back in WvW—even when they are losing a week or two week long battle— and still have a fun time fighting, whether or not they own most of the map. It’s obvious moral for a server goes down as disparity between points increases, and honestly, for some good reasons: people wanna go out and earn more gold towards (fill in blank), people wanna go make a difference in-game that’s noticeable, and no one wants to poor gold into something that may not last.
With that said, as one of the co-leaders to a WvW guild, I’m always trying to find ways to give incentive for players to go out and to never see it as a hopeless fight. So here’s a neat idea I was thinking about for the past few days.
If a guild who claims a location (supply camp/tower/garrison) in WvW and has people representing earning kills and defending the point of interest, they would earn a small amount of cash directly put into their stash/trove/cave depending on what was unlocked. The scale of the rewards being a flat rate per killshot, but increasing depending on what bank level was unlocked. The Premise would be the exact same as a heart quest rewarding you for doing the objective.
