Without fail the oasis causes map wide lag. Been the same kitten since HoT launch. Just turn it off and its guild weeklys till a fix is found.

While I have seen videos of the laggy oasis event, I have done it several times, fought over the event and never seen the lag that others seem to be getting. I will say though that the new map makes my video card scream at times(can hear the fans speeding up), most of that I think comes from the dust effects. The new map seems to make my computer work harder and run hotter than it ever did before..

Last night as soon as the event started everything began rubberbanding and skills would not fire. It got so bad that the commander on the map said to just let the enemy zerg finish the event and not slow them down so as to be done with it faster.

If Anet’s intent was to inspire “epic” battles at the oasis, they have failed spectacularly. “Epic” fights does not equal skills that don’t fire and enemies that teleport around randomly.

All they need to start doind is less AA aoe(less calcs needed), less laggy events and start fixing some of the map elements that makes players avoid it, and probably give an incentivation for guilds defend the tower or keeps, getting free holo farmable resources is really a cheap move…

Yes please! I play EB because of the big lag on new maps- and ofc becuase i dont like the new maps.

It’s pretty bad, even with the reduction in number required. It lags the whole map out, and I can’t really see a benefit to it aside from guild missions… and let’s be real, the lag is not worth a commendation + 2 rares.

With the change in upgrading system just turn the kitten thing off. Everything used to be T3 almost automatically, it’s not the case anymore…it’s really no longer needed. Zergs finish the event in less than 4 minutes if no one tries to stop them… OP to the max.

Yeah unless you start it immediately the event is much harder to defend if another server starts before you and with the change to upgrading it makes taking objectives easier. Whilst I think defending is too easy this is completely the wrong way to make things better for attackers, its a largely passive, lazy to improve things for attackers.
