To Kaineng Players,

I’m just a player that recently transferred over to your server (probably temporarily), and I would like to outline your weaknesses in WvW in the list below (not in any particular order). Also note that these problems are not just specific to your server, and many others have them as well.

- Lack of presence in DR and FC borderlands

- Lack of defensive siege (I rarely see any defensive siege, even in keep lords rooms)

- Just a tip, a gate will go down faster if you run to a nearby camp for supply and build a ram than if you just sit there auto-attacking it.

- Lack of upgrades (Outside of my own guildmates, I almost never see anybody upgrade keeps, towers, or camps)

- Incompetent commander (Most are pretty good, but there’s always one or two that have no idea what they’re doing. This is normal, just make sure you don’t follow them around.)

- Lack of tactics (You guys only zerg)

- People rarely defend (You traded a fully upgraded tower for a tower in your enemy’s territory – bad deal)

Now I’m going to ask you: do you want to win or do you want to farm?

The main reason you guys follow commanders like lemmings or attack towers on the opposite side of the map instead of defending towers you already own is because attacking generally gives more personal rewards than defending. If you want your server to win, you need to fix this attitude.

At least they aren’t fat and ugly.

Wow, I’m so glad I read this I have been doing everything wrong.

The fact that you put up a ‘no flaming’ tag as your first line makes me think that you meant to insult us and you just wanted to avoid reprimand. You say these are issues with a lot of servers, but then you call us out specifically. That rubs me the wrong way.

I also don’t appreciate how blatant you are about letting us know you are a player new to Kaineng as a transfer (I assume alongside a guild), and that you don’t plan on sticking around, which means that you (or your guild) are only here for personal glory, and I don’t like that at all.

I appreciate that perhaps you think that you’re helping, but most of these problems you mentioned are just insults. For example, telling us that if we use rams to break gates they will break faster? Please. We didn’t get here today. Lack of presence in enemy borderlands? I’m not 100%, but I’m still certain that we have less of a population than most servers (of course, ignoring the people/guilds that hop on over temporarily). If we try to attack, we get spread too thin, and then we have an issue with trading locations, as you mentioned later.

If you want me to legitimately care about the things you’ve said here today, I want you to promise me that you actually care about Kaineng as a server and that you’ll stay here. What we don’t need is people hopping over because transfers are free and then leaving. In fact, people leaving in general is an issue. So before we continue, prove that you care at all about the server, and swear your no-transfer loyalty to Kaineng. Otherwise, your “words of advice” are hollow and meaningless to me.

Well I am not one to defend kaineng since I enjoy killing them but if you notice in this picture that when they attack something they really do it with style. Notice those several big blue boys.

SoS does some pretty crazy things. Not sure if they’ll stay after Asia gets their servers, as I’m pretty sure they’re a mostly Asian guild, but I certainly hope they don’t. Balthazar bless their hearts, they do good work.

The answer to most of your insults is we’re a newer server. A ton of people participating in WvW are still not level 80. Most of the level 80s aren’t rich and can’t afford to spend gold on siege/upgrades. It really doesn’t help motivate people to spend gold on upgrades when people know that the place will be overrun by a zerg in the very near future. Regardless, I’ve dumped about 20g in the last 2 days for upgrades and siege knowing that it will all be taken out eventually. When there are a lack of organized guilds in WvW, the only thing all the randoms seem to know is how to zerg in off-times.

This post insulting a server that knows they are in the bottom tier and are improving every week is quite hilarious.

I respect the Kaineng population. These guys prove their loyalty by sticking it through. I’m on Blackgate, a server that will be in T1 tomorrow. I won’t lie, I trasnfered (but awhile ago. Not when they were gaining guilds and winning lots. I’ve had my share of losses here) because my original server was bad at PvP (but now they’re fairly decent. Gave us a great battle last week). Kaineng sticks it through.

Yet, you come on here as a transfer to bash them publically on the forums and even mention it’s a problem with other worlds. Newsflash – it happens on EVERY SERVER. When we fought IoJ and SBI and had next to nothing, we still were attacking undefended towers to “stay in the game” with minimal reinforcements. The world is large, and it takes a lot of time to return to defend a keep/tower.

The worst part is you say you transfered. You tranfered to one of the “worst” servers (as far as rankings go). I agree with the tl;dr guy that said you’re there for personal glory, and are likely into just farming methods as well. Don’t bash a server you’re not a part of on how they play

I presume Keineng is the US version of our Ruins of Surmia. A bunch of good peeps, always ready and coming out for the fight but can’t cope with the presented numbers from the greens.

All your remarks are only valid when you can compete against, more or less, equal numbers. Fighting highly outnumbered is a complete different story. Also circle jerking once in a while is needed as it’s very important for the “morale” to take something regularly, even knowing it’ll be taken back next 15 minutes.

Kaineng’s WvW guilds and alliances have taken the week off from WvW to focus and enjoy the Halloween events.

Most of your tips showed you to be more of an arrogant fool than anything else tho.

Kaineng is fine, better being the underdog and having fun, than waiting in hour-long queues while doing something you’d rather not be. I’m having a blast losing half the time on the battlefield.

Victory is sweeter when unexpected. And gratz to kaineng on the sweep through EB during prime time last night, well done iSpy and company.

All this time I’ve been doing ALL those things wrong! Who would have thought? Thank you SO MUCH for pointing out how incredibly stupid I am. I would have NEVER thought of all this. Your post has made me realize the errors of my ways. Again, this has been so helpful because I literally do everything completely wrong.

we are new at this server too and the server is fine. We have a lot of fun each night at WvW. I think thats the point, isnt? FUN.

..and btw, I think Kaineng do really well, the server is small, but I think we do like if we was twice the number…

Obviously someone who just moves server to server and in his own incompetence cannot make a difference, so you hop around.

Oh my Gawd….. A player (Scyntrus) flaming Kaineng. I have no respect for someone that, in his/her own words, “transferred over to your server (probably temporarily)” only to post on the forums without so much of who the heck you are or talking to realm mates to coordinate.

Scyntrus you come to me when your yardstick measures at least 102 plus badges in WvWvW in a night killing enemies with a group of 10 or less while only loosing 2 to being stomped in a night during the whole run. Along with taking Dreaming Bay then escorting the orb to Etheron Hills. Then to top it off defending Longview against stiff Devona determination to take it back. Obviously you have no clue on “all” of your realmates, you are generalizing, since I know of a lot here on Kaineng that have heart & determination to keep trying I admire my realm mates. So in my opinion either get to working making my server better like others here or get the heck off of it.

To all the opposing realm mates we fought last night some really good fights and stiff competition. We love you all but fair warning, “Better watch your back because we are indiscriminate backdoor backstabbers on red conned players ;-P”

Kaineng only recently got enough population to field a sub-par army on TWO fields when guilds are not out in force.

Do NOT talk down on our server for not fighting in other areas, because we just do not have the numbers. I think it’s great that the focus is on our borderlands and EB, and our WvWers are doing the best they can with the resources and numbers available.

As far as commanders go, I would not fault any of them. But the fighters of our WvW are very ambitious when there are no more clear objective left, and there is nothing wrong with fighting against the odds. But when you are going into enemy territory, listen to the commander and do not double back on his orders if there are orders, or else your already low chance of success turns into a 0% chance of success.

Backseat commanding is an issue in Kaineng, since many feel that others are not ‘worthy’ of their Commander Icon and speak over their orders. But you know what? If they weren’t worthy, their guild wouldn’t have helped donate to their tome or even have them represent their guild in the first place, regardless of Commander or not(And I’m not speaking of only my experiences with commanding, I’m speaking of the many times I’ve observed others commanding and seen when Kaineng would not work together).

When there is a campaign going on in a map with a commander or two on the map, I suggest not flying your commander insignia out of respect unless they could use your help. Extra commanders only confuse people, and there really only needs to be 2 commanders at most 99% of the time. Instead, help them out, maybe fly your tag if you’re on the same frontline with them and support them. Inter-guild support is more of what Kaineng needs, and public show of that will only make Kaineng stronger, even if we lose.

Besides, it’s not like Kaineng isn’t used to losing, and in my opinion, even if we keep getting third place, we will NEVER lose like we used to with those 6k or 30k scores.

Our server’s commanders already lead by example 99% of the time, and those who do not, the server’s regulars already does not follow. Trust me, even those that get heckled a lot, they do lead by some kind of example that has the regulars coming back over and over.

Stay classy, Kaineng.

Kaineng was really cool when we were fighting Borlis Pass. I met one Kaineng engineer at point and we had a few sparring matches. Other times, I’ve been in battles with 10-20 people and seen Kaineng valiantly battle with honor and dignity.

And then something happened when Ferg came in. I don’t know what it was, but suddenly, it was like Borlis’ attitude was passed on to Kain, and Kain’s to Ferg, and the only Kain dudes I saw were massive hordes steamrolling at night when no one was there to defend.

When I’m rolling with a group and I see a lone enemy, I ignore him (unless he attacks, then I down him and walk away). It’s respectful, and we’d win anyway, so why bother ruining someone’s day? Not so with Kain. I’ve seen a group of three or four Ferg (a battle I could possibly win if the sun was in their eyes) and they wave and we pass by and everyone goes on their way. Not so with Kain. Even a solo will try to pick a fight with me. He shoots, I keep moving, he shoots again, I heal and jump away, he hits again, I unload, down him, move on, he gets up, chases me, I kill him dead, he cries to mommy and comes back with his big brothers.

Seriously, Kain? I respect that you’re riding high on your first win, but please… try to stay respectful.

And don’t even get me started on the jumping puzzles.

Hi Darxio, was in BL e other day with a commander. Orb got respawned at GOD n we just captured Hill. I suggested to him many times to quickly Zerg to get e Orb. e commander wants to take cliffside instead of Orb. Should we follow his order to take e tower first? Thankfully enough of us rush to GOD n manage to capture e Orb.

Agreed totally we should follow e commander orders. I Zerg wif u many times n I follow ur lead all e way. But there will be some commanders tt r totally clueless.

Now that you’ve transferred to yet another server, I have literally zero respect for you as a player. I hope that your new host enjoys your stay, however brief it may be, and will take your backhanded advice to heart more than we did.

You transferred to HoD??? LOL they are a sinking ship!

That’s WHY he (and I assume his guild) transferred to HoD. Because common transfer player mentality is to transfer to servers either winning a bunch, or losing consistently. That way, they can claim they were a part of victory no matter what. Either they were a cog in the winning machine of the winning servers, or, to them, the ENTIRE reason why a losing server is being pulled around. It’s all personal glory, and there’s no server loyalty.

If you carefully read my post, I said I transferred BACK to HoD. It was the server that I chose on the first day of early access, and I decided to go back on. Only reason I took a tour of other servers was because WvW was getting stupid with the scores of +695 +0 +0. We were one of the +0 btw. Most of my guild never left HoD, but those that went to Kaineng moved on to other servers. I know several moved to Devona’s Rest because they were fed up with Kaineng.

I don’t mean to be rude, but this is going to come off as it most likely. I only speak for myself and nobody in my guild/server, but kaineg as a whole we’re prideful of our server, do we have flaws? yes, but we don’t rage to others servers, almost every who came to kaineg had a reason, what’s yours? To start off mines, I was on a server who was doing great and at tier 2, during week 2, but we kept falling and falling, and the game became less fun as ques was bad and people only wanted to say it’s your fault. By week 4 we lost about 1000-2000players from about 6-7different guilds, and guess what? they defected to the team we were matched up against next, which had a good oceanic pressence but not so much primetime. but it wasn’t this that made me leave, it was the server giving up the match on day2 that just angered me, then i did some research and i found kaineg, it’s everything i would want. Most people in kaineg would rather lose and have fun, then win with none or else they wouldn’t be on a server with a record of 1/6 wins.

I find that you posting a OP with the title wvw report is really insulting to Fubuki, who is probably very famous and known throughout kaineg whether he wants to be or not. I’m not going to be biased because he’s in my guild, but he leads by example, not saying he’s a commander and we follow him, but he’s an outstanding wv3 player who spends 90% of his time making kaineg better so for you to have an OP.

You can’t make judgement of one whole entire server from one day, especially during special events, I don’t know for sure but i can say that most of my guild was not in wv3 during monday thru wednesday because we were out in pve for a variety of reason. I understand you’re trying to give advice, but it’s really disrepectful to come in for one day and say all this about the server when you’re new here, and kaineg is not new to wvw, but were getting better all the time.

Another thing, and I might be out of line and i truly can not speak on behalf of the devona’s but if i was them i wouldn’t be welcoming you with open arms. I don’t have much love for those who abandon their servers to join the winning server in that bracket so they can’t boast about how they beat said server. I honestly believe that the majority of the players in our low bracket match ups have a great deal of respect for each other, some hates us for oceanic pressence from what i hear, but i’m not going to say they should leave, why should they? we’ve all gotten close in this community and we love it here.

there was nothing is your OP about you saying going BACK to HoD, it only says hey since you hate me, i’m packing and leaving for a tier 1 server (my understanding). But from what it seems, you chose a sinking boat like some1 said, HoD is not what it used to be, so if you expect to ride out the victory with them, i don’t think it will come so easily.

You actually never mentioned HoD being your home server. But if that’s true, I can respect that, at least. I can’t imagine why you’d go to Devona’s Rest, as they’re not in any better of a position than Kaineng is. I can only assume the reason they’re doing ridiculously well is because of the guild transferring over to “pick them up”. Of course, I don’t play on Devona’s, and I’d like to get some homegrown Devona players to shed light on the subject. Or at the very least, to see some form of graph showing how many players are transferring to which servers on a daily basis. :U

Did I leave out the “back” part? Whoops. Anyways, I’m personally opposed to going to Devona’s Rest. I simply made this thread to see what response it would get, which would help me decide whether or not I would stay. As you can see, I made my decision.
