Lots of us have already been in t2 or higher....others haven’t. We will help each other, but I agree there is preparation needed by all. It will be a huge learning experience.

Words of advice, listen to your commanders, respond quickly, learn more about your class in WvW and remember to have fun.

Well, although I do look forward to T2. I’d rather be in T3 next week. I really want to play against DB and Mag.

To be totally honest it’s hard to say for certain what kaineng is truely able to field on the battlefeild. But i kinda like being on the only server with a big asian legion.

T3 would be the best place for our next match…give us a week at least! I want to see the KN Oceanics vs the DB Oceanics. Also want to see their NA primes. I think it would be a cool match. And then there’s all these crazy Mag roamers I hear so much about…they sound fun.

As we have risen up the tiers, I’ve come to sort of see Mag and DB as close relatives in a way…albeit with Mag being the weird Uncle type

Yeah absolutely zero chance of that. I somehow doubt Kaineng is going to pull 300 rating out of their kitten

Looks like it may end up being very close between Kain and TA at this point for who gets into T2.

While I think T2 will be a challenge for sure, I’m not sure Kain will learn that much from T3. The score won’t be as dominated but I have a feeling Kain will still annihilate T3 – Where there’s no challenge, there’s less room to learn/grow from a tactics standpoint.

Core Maguuma and core Dragonbrand players (the guys who have been there since the beginning) have a long history of fighting horrifically outnumbered in horribly imbalanced matches, but they kept playing anyway. So there is a mutual respect there.

Our core groups play differently though.

Sorry, but only a fool thinks they have nothing to learn. Only a fool calls the result of a match they have never been in, against opponents they have never played. You should be watching and learning in all your matches. Even the ones you are winning with massive numbers.

You can really learn something from anyone, no matter how good or bad (or big or small) they are. Hubris is the downfall of all players.

^Good site to use since mos can be inaccurate especially when it hasn’t updated to the numbers Anet posts on this forum. It already has those numbers filled in so all you have to input is the score.

I put 1 for CD and YB since the formula doesn’t like a score of 0 and an endless series of 9s for Kaineng. The most their rating can get to is 1843.358.

Playing around with the T3 scores, FA can beat that rating by managing to get 39% of the score without allowing Mag to get more than 37% of the score. FA has 36.6% of the score according to the last score update on mos. Getting from 36.6% to 39% is not that easy. Anyone that understands percentages should know each 1% increase is more difficult to obtain than the last. That said, it is also a big assumption that Kaineng would get more than 99% of the score lol. They got a little less than 89% in their previous match.

FA going to T2 is the more likely scenario as long as FA remains ahead of Mag and DB and increases the gap.

I don’t want to skip brackets. There’s a lot of people who still need to gel and as a server, we need to use the extra time to keep working on things. To the commanders out there who provide general tips to the consensus while running with them in less intense situations, please keep it up. It all helps and even if no one is sitting there and thanking you for tips and guidance …. it is appreciated. Many guilds have there own niche’s and tips that work and help out, but I think the true power is knowledge sharing to help the overall populous.

Get on the same page together and work like a well oiled machine. Yesterday we had a couple good and bad highlights which I hope we improve upon. An example, was the CD force continually on there gar, we could have prevented that long drawn out battle, much quicker, as well as when they moved to their breakout tower. But we let them have there supplies for far too long. Small things like that, I think we should be communicating more on. I think we chat this sometimes, but don’t act on it with appropriate forces due to us still gelling and getting an understanding of each other. For example, I would love to know guild groups running together on a map that are in the 10 person/2 party range, but not with a tag enabled.

Scouts? Any of the solo guys who know can see #‘s at ’x’ objectives with out engaging? More good data. CD ran with 3-4 guarding yak’s on route to building gar back, was a gj considering the opportune time and need to get the reinforced walls up.

Small things, which would help. Overall, I have definitely seen some good comms come across, and think kains are doing well while improving with each other. I hope everyone had fun last night, I know I did.

It would be interesting if they got stuck in T3 because supposedly, many of the servers that got a population boost are going to be in T3 next week. It would be funny if those three servers ended up being equal and got stuck there forever.

Actually I have played against them. For the last 4+ weeks that crystal desert was in T3 including last week I was playing against them. I was on Crystal desert from release up to last Thursday. I’m quite familiar with how “strong” the current T3 servers are. I transfered with my guild to Kain last Thursday. From keeping an eye on Kain the last couple weeks and experiencing wvw with them this week, I truly believe T3 won’t be a challenge. If you want to call me a fool for saying that, you can – everyone can express their opinion.

When strength in numbers works, there’s less need for tactics. If we’re in T3 next week and the result after the first day or two is similar, people won’t learn much new. There’s less need for forming parties with synergy – less need for flanking or multi-pronged attacks – less need for better multiple commanders/guilds to work on plans of action – less need for better communication in general – less need for build adjustments, resource/supply management, siege management/training … etc.

I’m not saying Kain doesn’t have these things. But they need to work on improving them. “If” I’m right about t3 not posing a challenge, less work will be done on these types of improvements.

I would wager FA has more wvw players on it now then when BG was dominating tier 2. Now I’m not saying kain won’t make it past, no one really knows but mag was blowing out servers by same margin and look how they are doing. Very competive but at bottom of tier 3.

Either you typed this sentence weirdly, or you don’t know how ratings work. It’s a ratio that’s relative to the other servers rating. If Kain stayed 695 ppt for an entire week, projected rating wouldn’t change as the total score increased, because the ratio would be the same. Red t1 is literally not possible for Kain by the end of the week.

Though I have to admit them skipping tier 3 would make me happy. Two reasons tier 3 is a lot of fun great matchup and it would be us movin up instead. Also give us FA more time to get use to playing with each other and be that much better when we do make the move

I think it’s fine. If a server is strong enough, they should be able to jump tiers. No point in having a server go through weeks of fighting when we all know they belong in the higher tier.

It is impossible to know exactly how high K will go but to anyone who has spent time in T1/T2 it’s fairly obvious T3 would be a speed bump at best.

Funny you say that I was on JQ last week scouting it out. I’ve played in most tiers and know what they have to offer what I base my info is first hand knowledge, but thanks for coming out

It might be good for kain to skip tier 3 and lose to tier 2 servers so the people who transfered there just because kain was dominating lower tiers leave. you probably would want to weed out those players before they are stuck.

Well we have played both Mag and Kaineng within a week at YB, and Kaineng seems no stronger than Mag to me. Perhaps a bit better Oceanic coverage, but if Mag is having a tough time in T3, I will be surprised if Kaineng can succeed in T2 immediately.

IMO no server should be able to skip an entire tier, be it they be from higher tiers and have that experience or not

Not like we can do anything about it at this point. If you want to talk about what we do once we’re there then that makes sense.

YB went from tier 6 to 4 in one week. Other servers may also have done so but I don’t know them.

For NA -NSP went from T7-T5 at one stage followed 2 weeks later by SoR going from T5-T3 and then the week after that YB went from T6-T4
For EU – MS went from T5-T3 and AG went from T7-T5

Kinda funny. I transferred from t1 to play with friends when Kain was in dead last in rankings. To be honest the zerg v zerg really isn’t all that different from T1 to T9 or whatever it was. It’s just more of it. Kain has so far zerged our way up to T4. I think t3 really won’t be much different. I highly doubt T2 will be that much harder. Kain win because of coverage , we have very very good guilds at off peak hrs. You can’t beat that. In t2 the servers will have better coverage in off peak hrs than lower tiers but I highly doubt any server has the zerg Kain has between 2 and 8 am est.
