So, I have piles of karma on various toons, post your ideas here for what I should use it for, as it’s pretty clear it will never be useful for obtaining ascended gears.

Add a little pepper, toss lightly, and voilà! Karma salad!

Also, how come we don’t’ have a way to convert Karma to Laurels, or convert Badges to Laurels, there should be a conversion process in place, at least then I would have something to spend Badges and Karma on. Currently -both simply pile up in my inventory.

Edit: I just caught my own error – I do have things to spend Badges on, like siege, Orr Karma Gear, and WvW leveling gear – but what I really want is to be able to buy Ascended gear with them, because you, your big Uncle Fred and four trained Gorilla’s couldn’t get me to farm Fractals for it, nor wait 20+ days of mindless ‘check this off – check that off’ daily’s.’ Sorry – maybe I’m not as ‘right’ as I first thought. O.o

A big reason the temples in Orr are such popular events is because people use their karma to buy the armors and then throw them in the mystic forge to create better exotics… likely ones that have superior runes that can only be obtained via the mystic forge.

If you like rng gambling, karma vendors any orr map sell Orrian Jewelry boxes for 4.5k karma each. It contains vendor fodder, some karma back, but most importantly a chance for a shiny, shiny lodestone.

Mostly you can buy the Exotic gear at the Temples in Orr, but you can also buy cultural weapons (for the skin), the orrian gambling jewelry box or just let it keep stocking after you have nothing else to buy… (I still have over 800k karma and all my level 80 toons are full exotic already).

I’ve never used the forge, nor done any crafting of any sort. Can I just go buy four pieces of karma exotic armor and toss them in and have a fair chance of getting something that will sell for a decent prices on the TP, or do I have to go research recipes and gather various ingredients to do any good?

Yes. If you have mystic forge stones from a daily or map completion or something, you can throw that in as well to save yourself 42k karma.

You could also buy lost orrian jewelry boxes, although those have a bit of an unstable return rate. I’ve gotten a couple onyx lodestones tho, so that was nice.

I normally buy green gloves for R&D waypoint, 800-1000 or so karma each. Forge them for rares, sell the rares. There’s some nice karma guides on the gw2 reddit if you make a search.
