Guild Wars 2

Having played WvW over the course of a few weeks it’s usually obvious by the 1/2 way mark who will win. From that point it’s a slow deterioration as 1 server takes over 100% of the map.

In some respects things are no different this week except to really pay compliment to TC. Having started off the week in 3rd place they took back 2nd spot from DB once it was obvious that CD would win and DB threw in the towel.

Since then TC still hasn’t given up and while continually being pushed back TC continually picks itself up and tries again making inroads here and there.

It’s been an absolute pleasure playing with TC this week and all indicators are is that it’s a great server to be on with a really positive culture. Any other server Ive played against would have given up by now but TC has picked itself up and hit back again and again which has made this week more enthralling than most.

Thanks for the compliments. My guild ‘The Shadow Legion (TSL)’ is very happy we chose Tarnished Coast and love the effort that is put in on this server. The tactics may not always be sound, but the willingness to improve is definately there. We are looking forward to seeing where this server will go in the months ahead.

If we had a little bit more of a late night presence with some additional Oceanic guilds, I think we would have been able to stay right with you, however like clockwork at about 11pm pst, we get the outmanned buff and start to loose towers and camps. Then the next morning we have to go and start reclaiming everything.

Nice fighting with you guys. We’ll hopefully have improved next time we meet.

I’m really glad I’ve chosen Tarnished Coast and TSL as my home. This week we’ve continued to fight, and haven’t thrown in the towel. We languished in 3rd place for several days of this match up, and fought every day tooth and nail, and I’m happy at our ability to close the gap. I think Madember’s right and that once we have a solid Oceanic presence we’ll be in solid contention to be a tier 2 server.

There’s a good atmosphere on Tarnished Coast, and every night that I’m out in the borderlands we’re having a great time. As a server I really feel we’re coming into our own as far as WvWvW is concerned and I have really enjoyed this weeks match up.

I know folks make fun of the fact we are the role-playing server, but the reality is we have some dedicated gamers and old-school players on this server. Winning or losing won’t change the fact that we will continue to fight on. That’s just our mentality. Thanks so much for recognizing our efforts. There is no doubt we have a lot to learn from both our opponents this week.

This week’s match has been the best so far, and I’m glad there’s still fighting going on. It’s dull when two of the servers give up after a few days. Regardless of the final score, Crystal Desert and Dragonbrand have given us some memorable fights, great lessons, and superior siege placement locations.

I’d be in WvWvW more this week if I didn’t keep getting the invisible players bug. Seeing only ranger pets is more discouraging than going up against the best guilds over and over.

I’m the clueless Asura Thief in PiNK with a pirate hat who spams cluster bombs at the location you were a few seconds ago and then dies really fast.
