Q:
LF Roaming Friendly Server
Sorry about your guild moving to Archeage but who knows maybe like a lot of other guilds that tried other games they may return to GW2
In the mean time, being from DR I think you have an idea of how better the opportunity and competition for solo roaming is in T5, T6 and T7 as opposed to your current tier.
I would like to invite you to take a look at the http://www.sanctumofrall.com/ which currently sits in T6. We are currently in a tight race with DH and GoM for the top spot in bronze and the server activity is round the clock and competition fierce!
From Solo duels on the field and the weekly “fight clubs” to open field battles and Zerg busting SoR is a good destination for a variety of WvW activities with the added option of scheduled PvE/PvX stuff for easy gold, commendations and prizes.
Sorry to see you go. You might check on the DR forum before forking over 1,800 gems to try to find a guild / group.
But if you’ve already made up your mind, one good way to do recon on a server is the live maps….

Periodically watch it for a few days, see what guilds claim and take stuff. Guilds that advertise themselves as havoc, and actually do havoc are going to be claiming camps for +5 all the time. Roaming heavy servers will also usually be controlling more camps in general, even if they don’t really havoc stuff much.
Right now I can only peak about T1 SEA
JQ has enough SEA Roamers.
TC does not have enough SEA Roamers.
BG has a bare minimum of SEA Roamers.
I do not know the situation during NA/EU or Early OCX.
You may want to check with the roamers during that time zone.
I am from Yaks Bend and I can say with honesty that Yaks Bend could use more roamers (skilled one at that). I spend most of my time roaming and I am able to do get alot of work done for the server, but as solo roamer I do face groups of 3+ people and rarely come across other YB roamers.
YB has a strong militia force and very strong siege expertise, but I do feel that our roaming section could use some work just on the level of getting more bodies out there of qualified roamers. If you want to help beef up the roaming department of Yaks Bend while knowing your server is a steady and reliable creature in addition to having no shortage of things to do then Yaks Bend may be for you.
Quite a bit of my friends who trasferred to DR and CD are comming back down to their respective servers in bronze… Their complaints are pretty much the same. Too much blobs, a too little action on off-time.
The blobs are fewer down here except if you are facing either SoR or SF. It hard to find a enemy roamer if you’re fighting against these two… And if you happen to find someone it’s problably a zergling trying to reach his blob.
The problem about lack of action in off-hours is pretty much the same… You won’t find much action on off-hours in any server outside T1 (and maybe T2). But if you go up there, the blobs will get bigger and even more present along the day…
So the choice is yours: Less blobs or More off-time action
